1969 Dodge Charger Restomod

The 1968 – 1970 Dodge Charger is arguably the best looking muscle car to ever come out of Detroit. Today they are one of the most sought after muscle cars on the planet. The iconic 1969 Dodge Charger has been showcased in numerous TV shows and films, such as Dirty Mary Crazy Larry, DeathProof, Drive Angry, and of course the infamous General Lee in The Dukes of Hazzard.

Now is your chance to own this super stunning, 1969 DodgeCharger restomod. A two-time magazine feature car, has also been signed by Chip Foose & Chris Jacobs of the hit TV show Overhaulin’.It was featured in a Dodge Showcase in Carlisle, PA with an interview by automotive historian Steve Magnante, and displayed by Silver Sport Transmissions to highlight their overdrive transmission products. This is one high-profile ’69 Charger.

This particular Charger was born in 1969 as an original big-block base model Charger. When found decades later, commonly most of its originality had been lost, which lent itself as the perfect starting platform to be reborn as a restomod. An in-depth restoration was performed, both cosmetically & mechanically. This Charger still retains all original Mopar bolt-on sheetmetal. It’s mechanical components are all new, rebuilt, or upgraded. It is now motivated by a powerful 440 engine topped with a ProMax 6-pack, backed by a Kiesler/Silver Sport Stage2 automatic overdrive transmission. This puts the power to the BF Goodrich KDW2tires mounted on polished Foose Challenger wheels via a 3:91 Sure Grip rear end, making this one right at home on the street or on the highway. The straight body lines & Coke-bottle styling pops with the FJ5 Sublime Green paint, and custom painted “V21” hood treatment with pearl white 440 callouts makes no mistake what’s under the hood. The “flying buttress” roofline is accented by the black vinyl top, which compliments the dove white custom interior, all kept cool by a Classic Auto Air A/C system. A black R/T bumblebee stripe out back ties it all together. For sounds there is a full TTI exhaust system with polished headers & Dynomax mufflers. Or, crank up the stereo which consists of a Secret Audio head unit, 6 Alpine cabin speakers, 2 Alpine subs in custom enclosures in the trunk, powered by 2 independent Alpine amps.

The Charger currently shows just under 3800 miles since completion. Sale will include car cover, all paperwork/documentation, and copies of any magazine feature articles.

Body & Paint: The Coke-bottle shaped body was sandblasted to eliminate any traces of corrosion and then coated with epoxy primers and POR-15 top & bottom to maximize it’s preservation. The crisp body lines & flowing curves are accented by the PPG FJ5 Sublime & PPG 2002 clear. Custom-painted V21 hood treatment with painted pearl 3-stage 440 hood callouts, all buried under clear for a seamless design. Body is unaltered with the exception of MP frame connectors to stiffen up the unibody.

Glass & Trim: New windshield. Original rechromed vent window frames. New vinyl top chrome spear moldings, new ’68-style gas cap & trim ring, new door handles, rechromed original D/S mirror, new P/S mirror, new grille moldings, new chrome taillight bezels, new tail panel moldings,new &NOS emblems, new front and rear chrome bumpers from Goodmark. All original stainless trim restored & polished. New Legendary vinyl top. New turn signal lenses, side reflectors, & hood turn signal assemblies. New R/T stripe from Performance Car Graphics. Engine:1970 cast block w/forged crank. Bored 0.040 over. Keith Black pistons, 6-pack connecting rods. Edelbrock 60929 aluminum heads. Lunati Voodoo camshaft. Mopar 8-qt Hemi oil pan. ProComp aluminum valve covers, polished. Billet valley pan hold downs. Billet dipstick. Polished billet breather & PVC valve. ARP hardware throughout. Mancini torque strap. Engine built by NT Racing. Dyno’d at 518 hp @572 ft/lbs of torque by legendary Pat Musi Racing. Custom billet serpentine belt & pulley system.

Transmission: Keisler/SilverSport Stage II, 4-speed automatic overdrive. Keisler trans cooler. Custom driveshaft & trans crossmember.

Rear End:8-3/4 rear axle housing. 489 center section with 3:91 Detroit TrueTrac Sure-Grip. New Moser axles.

Fuel System:New chrome 6-pack air cleaner, K&N air filter element and custom Mopar air cleaner lid hold downs. ProMax Max-Pack 6-pack setup, Carter polished Hemi fuel pump, new fuel tank & sending unit with stainless fuel lines from FineLines. 6-pack fine tuned by world-known Mopar expert Mike Bonsanti of HP Motors.

Ignition:MSD Pro-billet distributor with billet hold down. Mopar MSD ignition box, chrome MSD Blaster2 coil, Firecore50 ignition wires.

Exhaust: TTI polished ceramic coated 1-7/8” headers with 3” collectors, TTI “X-pipe” 2.5” exhaust with Dynomax Ultraflow mufflers, TTI polished stainless exhaust tips. Remflex exhaust gaskets.

Steering: New Steer-n-Gear Stage 2 power steering box, new Jeg’s chrome power steering pump, PST tie rod sleeves with upgraded larger C-body tie rod ends. Rebuilt steering column coupler.

Suspension:Hotchkis upper control arms, shocks, front & rear sway bars, and torsion bars. PST complete front suspension rebuild kit, urethane bushings. Mopar Performance HD leaf springs. New shackles & hardware. Polished aluminum strut rods.

Electrical: Super-bright HID headlights with Hella beam housings. Digi-Tails LED tail lamps. Illumin-8’s LED fog lamp/turn signals. New engine, headlamp, & back-up lamp wiring harnesses, remote underhood fuse box, Mopar battery, polished Powermaster 100-amp single wire alternator with Painless inline fuse.

Heating & Cooling: Griffin dual-row 26” polished aluminum radiator, Flex-a-Lite dual electric fan, Edelbrock polished hi-flow water pump, Mancini racing aluminum water pump housing, 440 Source billet thermostat housing, 180* Mr.Gasket thermostat, all new Mopar hoses. Zoops polished billet hose clamps. Classic Auto Air A/C with factory A/C dash vents.

Interior: Corbeau GTSII bucket seats, custom reupholstered with correct vinyl material from Legendary to match original. Legendary rear seat covers, headliner, & door panels. New package tray. Restored original upper door panels, armrests, sunvisors, & seatbelts. New carpet from Auto Custom Carpet. New windlace trim. New sill plates, armrest bases, & billet aluminum lock knobs. Rechromed original inner door handles. Gauges rebuilt, calibrated, ammeter to voltmeter conversion, & white-faced gauge conversion by Red Line Gaugeworks. New pedals & trim. Brakes: Wilwood disc brakes 6-piston fronts, 4-piston rear. Black powdercoated calipers, and drilled & slotted rotors. Inline Tube front parking brake cable, Wilwood universal rear parking brake cables. Wilwood polished master cylinder. Hydratech Hydroboost. New stainless brake lines from Fine Lines.

Wheels & Tires:Custom Foose Challenger polished billet aluminum wheels. 18” x 8” fronts, 19” x10” rear. BF Goodrich KDW2 tires P24540R18 fronts, P29535R19 rears.
