Description of 1971 Dodge Challenger |
Up for sale is a 1971 Dodge Challenger Mopar Drag Race Car with a probuilt 440 (Monty Jones Racing) and High Performance Coan PowerGlide Transmission with 4:10 gears. I bought this car from the builder who retired after 22 years of drag racing and now selling the car and all accessories i got with it, I originally thinking I was going to prostreet it and has the nice promod stance (Car has a Title) but realistically with my wishful plans and having to many other projects and just no time to complete, it has been put on the back burner. So rather than have it sit, I decided to sell it as I don't drag race so below is a detailed listing I received from the builder and owner of the car when I bought it.Body/Chassis: Chassis Works: 2x3 square tubing chassis Battle Cruiser ladder bars Coil over Mustang II front suspension Koni single adjustable front shocks Rack & Pinion steering w/removable steering wheel kit Steel floor and large wheel tubs 8-point roll cage with swing out driver’s bar Stroud cam-lock 5-point belts will need to be recertified Kirky 17" racing seat with cover Autometer tach & gauges - water temp, oil pressure, volts & transmission temp Painless 8 circuit wiring harness - matching overhead switchbox Cheeta shifter - w/CO2 RPM controlled auto shifter (DigitalDelay) Digital Delay Mega 450 delay box included for running in BoxClasses Tilt fiberglass front end with custom hood scoop Fiberglass trunk lid - rest of the car is steel – Doors are original with factory crash bars Removable drivers’ side Lexan window - rest of the glass is factory Steel rear bumper on it now (have a damaged fiberglass one included) 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes 3x15 Weld front wheels 10x15 Weld rear wheels 28x10.5x15W Hoosier slicks (should be replaced)Tubs will hold larger tires.
