Description of 1987 Dodge Dakota

Relisted due to a non-paying & non-responsive bidder. After 13 years of trying to give 0 feedback bidders a break. this is the third time this has happened. so we are adding: IF YOU HAVE 0 OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK. CALL OR EMAIL US BEFORE YOU BID! IF YOU DON'T. WE WILL CANCEL THE BID!!! With that said. we have for sale (again) a 1987 Dodge Dakota 2wd long bed (8') standard cab pickup. It is an every day driver. has Maryland "Street Rod" tags. It has the 3. 9L V-6 engine. automatic transmission. and other standard features such as P/S. P/D/B. etc. It does have air conditioning. but the compressor is locked up. It is in very solid shape for its age. only minor rust on the left top rocker (picture 3). right rear cab corner (picture 8). and both upper rear wheel wells (pictures 5 & 7). It also has a series of pin holes around the top of the windshield. which I have electrical tape covering. Looks almost like the sealer. Both front fenders have been replaced with NEW items (not used) and painted an Orange Metalflake we were going to paint the whole truck. We started to sand down the bed to bare metal. and all of that (except for the wheel wells) are extremely solid. The engine runs very well for showing slightly over 254K miles. and the transmission shifts fine. We have added a pair of bucket seats out of a '93 Dakota parts truck. wood grained dash trim. & blue interior trim panels instead of the beige interior that was in it. I serviced the transmission when we got it. as well as replacing the entire rear brake system including shoes. wheel cylinders. hardware kits. & parking brake cables. I had plans of swapping in a '93 5. 2L V-8 we have (also listed. and will include for $100). but I have too many projects to complete all of them. With just a little work & paint this truck could be made to look almost new. We have started this listing at a reasonable price with no reserve. but we reserve the right to end the listing at any time because it is for sale locally.
