This beautiful 1972 Dodge Challenger has been transformed into a vehicle that whether cruising on the street at a stop light/sign in a parking lot or at car shows attracts the attention questions conversation thumbs up and smiles with second and third looks of almost everyone. It has appeared in Hot Rod Popular Hot Rodding and Mopar Muscle Magazines. The restoration was performed by the award winning premier restoration company in the USA Muscle Car Restorations Chippewa Falls WI. The body work is flawless. All panels align perfectly and are laser straight. The PPG base coat/clear coat black was finished with 4 coats of clear and have been wet sanded and polished to a mirror finish. What immediately attracts your attention to the car first is the Pro Stock style hood with the 7” tall functional scoop. The unique sound of the Hemi exiting through 3 inch Flowmaster mufflers is most definitely an attention grabber. Inside is a one-off custom carbon fiber gauge panel that houses all Auto Meter Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite gauges. Separately mounted is a 5” Auto Meter Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite tachometer with memory and a shift light. The interior has been upgraded with new carpeting headliner arm rests door panels seat back panels rear side panels and cloth seats with vinyl trim. All chrome parts have been re-plated. Behind the 485 cubic inch 655 horsepower Hemi is a drive train that is absolutely bullet proof. The A-727 Torque-Flite has been upgraded with a Turbo Action valve body and heavy duty clutch discs. The drive shaft yokes and U-joints are all the 1350 series from Strange Engineering and the Dana 60 Sure-Grip houses Mark Williams Hi-Torque 35 spline drag axles.
