Purchased the car to make a family cruiser or rat rod out of. However, nce I started researching the numbers I found that it is all original and appears to have some great options. This Edsel was last registered in 1980 and this is the date on the current title. The owner passed away and the widow had the car in storage ever since. The car ran and drove until parked. Over the passed 30 years or so the brakes and engine have become stuck. The engine is a 361 Super Express V8 (which is the highhorsepoweroption for the Edsels)--303HP and 390 torque. The transmission was also upgraded to the 3 speed dual power automatic from the factory. Car is equipped with power steering, ower brakes, nd power front seat. Interior is all original to include seat coverings, arpet, eadliner, nd door panels. The front seat has a rip down the seam. The headliner is in fantastic shape. All glass is in great shape. The car still maintains the original patina which was Jet Black paint and was a single color which was rare for these cars. The brakes will need to be replaced due to the time they sat seized up (to include drums). The power brake booster will need to be rebuilt due to debris in the reservoir and overall dried out seals. The driver's rocker panel will need replaced and the passenger front fender has some rot near the hood. The keys have been lost somewhere along the way but with a battery hooked up all the lights work and the horn and power seat work. The original spare tire (as best I can tell) is still with the car also. The wiper motor, sh tray, nd air cleaner are the only hard parts missing. Everything else is intact. The chrome overall is in good condition--the bumpers are in very good condition. This listing will run until the auction ends without exception. There is no reserve and we are just looking to find this car a good home rather than turn it into something else. Pick up or shipment is up to the buyer's discretion but I will help any way possible--to include getting the car to a bigger city if that helps.
