Description of 1958 Edsel Ranger Villager

I am listing this for a friend.
If you are looking for a rare project, ere it is! 1958 Edsel Villager 4-door, -passenger Station Wagon. One of only 2,294 ever made! It has the E-400 (361cid) V8 engine and the coveted "Teletouch" pushbutton operated (from the center of the steering wheel) transmission. Exterior color is presently mostly surface rust brown, ut was originally Spruce Green Metallic combined with Frost White. Interior is White Vinyl & Green Vinyl. This car was built on August 28th, 958 at the Louisville, entucky Ford Plant. It also features the 3.22 to 1 rear axle ratio.
All glass on this car has been broken (except, hankfully, he rear glass). With the exception of the windshield however, ll other glass is "flat" and could be readily made by your local glass company. The exterior sheet metal is remarkably straight and dent free, ith theexceptionof the under-door rocker panels (pretty rusty). Floor panels will need to be replaced. I expect that the interior will need a full restoration. I did not try to turn over the engine and cannot tell if it is stuck or not. The engine is missing the carburetor.
This car is what we term here in Texas as a "Pasture Find", y friend will provide a Bill Of Sale but no title is available. In Texas you can apply for something called a "Bonded Title", ut you may want to check with your local DMV for more title options in your state.

The vehicle is also being offered for sale locally, nd this auction is therefore subject to ending at any time.
I will be glad to answer any questions you may have or forward them to the owner.
