This is an extremely well preserved, low miles 1960 Edsel which was stored for many many years by a leader in the Edsel community. Since 2014 I have completely rebuilt the brakes including an NOS brake booster, vacuum canister and lines, installed new gas tank and fuel lines, put on new Coker WWW tires, completely reupholstered the seats with NOS fabric from SMS auto fabric plus clear seat covers with the work done by master craftsmen at serious expense. The steering wheel has been restored, the Polar Aire underdash unit has been completely rebuilt with very hard to find NOS registers and switches. The radio has been converted to play AM-FM-with I-pod jack while completely retaining the original knobs, face, and buttons. The carb has been professionally rebuilt, the exhaust system replcaed, the water pump, fuel pump, all belts and hoses and bulbs from stem to stern have been replaced. The transmission has been professionally serviced and the completely original 352 Express V-8 runs like a very quiet watch. The carpets are brand new and I do have an SMS fabrics, NOS headliner and windlacing to go with the car as there is a minor imperfection in the headliner near the rear window. The door panels are as close to new as any 1960 car I have ever seen. I installed an NOS Delman windshield washer pump ( very rare and factory correct) with new washer lines, switch and nozzles. In short, I have done everything you would want to do if you had taken ownership of a well known Edsel that had been stored since 1980 and done everything to make it a wonderfully appearing and operating classic car. I do want to make mention that while I restored the factory correct under dash AC unit, I have not gotten further than that in installing A/C in this car. It originally did not have A/C, but try driving in the Yakima Valley in the summer on clear plastic seat covers and you will know why I felt this was important. Additionally, the winner of this auction will receive my 1960 Edsel parts stock which includes many NOS parts like NOS gauges, speedometer, front blinker lenses (made of un-obtanium), new reproduction tail light and reverse lenses, and a host of other parts. I just drove this car to Mount Rushmore from Yakima and it was a sheer joy. The motor has never been apart and while is seeps a little it runs so quietly and smoothly I haven't felt the need to even re-ring it. This is the finest riding of the Edsels I have owned and you may buy with confidence if your goal is to buy a very very nice 1960 Edsel.
