The inclusion of additional convenience and luxury features further enhanced the car's drivability, hile the familiar front-mounted 4.4 liter V12 and striking Pininfarina styling ensured that the car retained all of the traditional positive Ferrari traits. According to Ferrari historian Marcel Massini, 1487 was delivered new to official importer SAVAF (Societe Anonyme pour la Vente des Automobiles Ferrari) in Geneva, witzerland, here it was sold new to Dr. Peter F. Baumberger. Amenities include power windows, ower steering and air conditioning. In 1980, he 365 was exported to the United States and received its current exterior color. It was subsequently shown at Ferrari events throughout the following years while well maintained, hich is reflected in the overall condition today. 11487's odometer of 27,200kms is said to be accurate and original but cannot be confirmed or supported with documentation. The numbers-matching power plant quickly revs to power and the car's overall drivability feels very solid and suitable. A recent compression test produced strong results of 155-160 PSI per cylinder. A new Quicksilver stainless exhaust system was recently installed along with a tune up and fluid change, ncluding new correct Baldwin oil filters. The preserved luggage compartment houses a matching Chromodora spare. Ferrari's 365 GT 2+2 is a gentleman's sports car with the pedigree to match. Often called the "baby Superfast" it has a timeless style and uncompromising performance, o common among the greatest Ferrari's classics Grand Touring cars. Early V12 Ferrari's have become extremely collectable and highly sought after investments, nd The Queen Mother of Ferraris certainly commands a respectable entry into the league.
