Description of 1979 Ferrari 512 BB Coupe |
This is one extremely rare Ferrari 512 Boxer (F102BB29183). This 1979 Boxer was imported LEGALLY (very rare) into the United States and has all the Federal paperwork to prove it. Manufactured on 12-4-1979, this is one of the last carbureted 512's made. The 512 Boxer was made between 1976 and 1984. The carbureted model was made between 1976 and 1980. Only 929 total carbureted 512's were made between 1976 and 1980. Only a handful were LEGALLY imported into the US. Imported vs. Legally imported (with paperwork) are two different things. This car has all the Legal paperwork with it. 512BBProduction started: 1976 Production ended: 1981 Total production: 929, 101 RHD This Ferrari has been regularly serviced at Ferrari dealerships with the last service in May 2015. Clutch and Belts have less than 2500 miles on them. This Koenig Special was done directly from the factory when new and paint is believed to be original paint from 1979/1980. It has intentionally been left untouched to show no accidents and high care to have paint last more than 35 years in this condition. Believed to only have been 4 Koenig Boxers made. Willy Koenigstarted independent tuning operations in1974with the first Ferrari 365 BB supplied to Germany. Only the finest materials are used, tested on test stands, in wind tunnels, and under extreme racing and road conditions, and tested and approved by the German Technical Supervisory Authority (TÜV). Cost of the upgrades were approximately 50% of the original Ferrari.
Current owner for last 18 plus years Only 20195 KM - Approximately 12548 miles (subject to change from driving) All Federal paperwork for LEGAL import from Feb. 1980. All 512BB's were originally Europe only cars. Only a very few were legally imported (and have Federal paperwork). This car has all Federal paperwork which means it is totally legal to be in the United States. Jack Tool Kit Manuals and books Service records Originally and still a Black on Black car. Leather interior still smells like new leather The 512 Boxers were the last hand built Ferrari's and one of the best supercars ever (at least in my opinion). BUYER PICKUP ONLY. ALL PAYMENTS MUST TOTALLY CLEAR BEFORE VEHICLE WILL BE RELEASED. NO EXCEPTIONS. WILL CONSIDER A PARTIAL TRADE UP TO $75k IN VALUE. TRADE VALUE MUST BE APPROVED IN ADVANCE AND AGREED TO BY BOTH PARTIES. |
