GTS Rare Factory Special Order One off Documented with only 35,000 miles

1978 Ferrari 308 GTS Red with a White interior. 35,295 miles, This is a very rare factory special order car. The first owner had a special relationship with the Ferrari factory(and supposedly Enzo Ferrari himself) and was able to have his 308 specially ordered with custom features that he wanted. This included a White interior, White Targa Top, White rear louvers, and front white head light louvers, the body belt line was also white. The car was also ordered with Campagnolo wheels the same type that came on the 246 Dino. By 1978 it was extremely rare to have anything custom made at the factory, which makes this car very special, it is also completely documented.

He was also able to have the car photographed during the building process. Included with the car is a large book that contains these photographs, it also has the correspondence between the first owner and the various people at Ferrari who helped coordinate the building of the car. The book contains the "Certificato D'Origine" (certificate of origin) and the invoice from the Ferrari factory to the first owner. There are also photographs of the car being air freighted over to New York. The car comes with a tool kit, jack kit and complete owners manual pouch.

I have known this car for many years. It comes with a steady service history which includes two timing belt changes (last belt change was at 27500 miles)and one clutch replacement. This is a chance to acquire a very rare one off Ferrari custom 308 with only 35,000 miles
