I am selling my 1988 Ferrari Mondial Convertible . I am the owner of this ca, not a dealer or someone who bought this car for a fast flip.I have owned this car for 15 years and its been great fun and a truly dependabl, amazing car to own and drive. I have used it very little lately and I think its time for the next owner to have some fun with this car. It has a mid engine V8 that sounds amazing and is very reliable. The Bosch fuel injection makes it easy to tune and to smog. The manual transmission shifts smooth and precise. Everything is in good working order. The flip up headlights and the power windows work great. The black canvas top I have never used but I just checked it for this posting and its in perfect condition. The window is clear and without cracks. The car just underwent a major service that included new timing belts and adjusters, new plugs and fluids and a new starter. The interior beige leather looks like new and is nice and soft. This classic color combination of red and beige is the most desirable one as I am sure you know . The car is in my garage and has always been covered inside. The car has a build in battery tender for the time it sit, so when its time to fire up, it is always fully charged. It comes with a full size spare tire on the original Ferrari rim. Includes a complete tool rol, jack and owners booklet. The car has always been a California car and I am the third owner. It was sold to me 15 years ago by a gentleman in LA who claimed, that the car was owned before him by Geena Davis. He had no proof of that and I am only passing this on in case one would be interested to do more research . I tried to contact Mrs. Davis but never received a reply. So this might be a true fact or just a rumor. The interesting thing was, that the seller only mentioned it to me after I had already bought the car. So he really didn't need to make that story u, because the deal was already done. The car had never been in an accident and it has never seen the rain . Its in truly exceptional condition and ready to be enjoyed .It is under a non op at the moment and no back fees or taxes are due.The 1988 Mondial was the last model build where the belt service does not require to remove the engine from the car. With this model the timing belts can be changed with the engine in the car. The next Mondial T model requires a engine out service and will cost many times more than what this car will cost you.I understand that the Mondial is a entry level Ferrari but in the last years the Mondial is moving up steadily in price. This being one of the last true manual Ferrari's also will increase this models value. Please email for questions .
