Description of 1976 Ferrari Dino 208GT4 |
1976 Ferrari Dino 208GT4 Roller. Chassis No. 13020. Clean PA title. Rare 2.0L Italian market car, one of just 840 cars produced. Designed by Marcello Gandini (of Miura/Countach/Diablo/Stratos fame). Car consists of a body shell with suspension, steering, and brakes. No engine, transmission, interior, glass, or trim. Rare factory A/C components are present, as well as some dash parts, foot pedals, and steering column switches. Headlight buckets and motors are present. The car has a flat tire, and is missing some lug bolts. The steering works great, and I believe the brakes work (all components are present). I had plans to do a vintage race build with the car, but I have been moving slowly on it and have decided to cut it loose. Although originally the car used a small transverse V8, there are some good longitudinal V6/V8 mid-engine options that don't require much modification to the body. A modern V6 build can make 2-3 times more power than the original 170HP drivetrain! The car was recently media blasted and primered (alloy and fiberglass panels excluded). The body requires rust and/or prior damage repair to the left rear quarter, nose (between headlights), and roof. Previously these issues were covered up with bondo, with some remaining as can be seen in the photos. I researched replacement panels and found them available and reasonable in price. From what I can tell there is no major damage or rust on the frame. Clean PA title in my name. The title has the year as 1970, which I had no interest in squabbling with PennDOT about. If it's an issue for the buyer I am happy to ask PennDOT to fix it prior to transfer (it might take a month and buyer pays any fees). Non-refundable Paypal deposit due within 48 hours of auction close. Please pay the balance within 7 days. I am happy to work with transporters and exporters, but arrangements are up to the buyer. Extended pickup times are available, just ask. |
