The color combination is simply stunning. This impressive example was sold new to James Pratt on September 30, 1987 by Ferrari of Dallas. I have the original window sticker and purchase contract along with all of the service records dating back to 1987 – demonstrating this Ferrari has been meticulously maintained since new. Today, this exceptional Ferrari 328 GTS presents in outstanding condition. It has never been in an accident. The paint is beautiful, the interior is gorgeous and everything from the original matching numbers 3.2 liter V8 engine (with270 horsepower and 231 lb-ft of torque)to the original 5-speed transmission work perfectly – as though the car had just rolled off the assembly line. Within the last 90 days, a full engine out, major service was completed by Ferrari Technologies ensuring that this 328 GTS performs as well as it presents. It also sports a nearly new set of Michelin tires. I am proud of this stunning 1987 Ferrari 328 GTS. If you are looking for a fully documented Ferrari 328 GTS in truly outstanding condition, look no further. Please call me to arrange an inspection. I will be happy to give you a complete walk-around, give you access to all the books and records, and answer any questions you may have. History of the Ferrari 328 GTS First introduced at the 1985 Frankfurt Salon, the 328 GTS evolved from the 308 GTS, which had been in production for nearly a decade without an overall change in appearance. For the new model, Pininfarina refined the shape of the car to be more curved and included integrated front and rear bumper panels that did not distract from the overall profile. The interior was further refined with revised door panels and more modern switch assemblies in the center console to compliment the now modern exterior. Displacement in the transversely mounted DOHC V8 engine was increased to 3.2 liters which resulted in 270 horsepower at 7000 RPM. The mid-mounted fully synchronized 5-speed manual gearbox was carried over from the 328’s predecessor and featured Ferrari’s iconic gated shifter. With such refinements, but still staying true to the timeless lines of the 308, the 328 GTS received worldwide acclaim upon its debut. The model lasted in production until the fall of 1989 with just 6068 examples built. |
