Description of 1982 Fiat Other

1982 Fiat Spider 2000

Rosso Corsa red paint (closely matches Ferrari Rosso Corsa FER 300/6), an interior and tan convertible top and boot.

Restoration completed in 2005 with over $14,000 in receipts (included all new interior, ew short block, xhaust, uspension, rakes, aint, tc.) Extensive service records and receipts from '99 to present.

This was a Tampa, L car until my Dad purchased the car in 2006. He enjoyed and maintained it until he passed away from cancer in 2011. I've enjoyed and maintained the car since then, nd have had any necessary work performed to ensure it continues to look, top, teer, andle, tart, nd run as well or better than when my Dad had it.

I put new tires on it, ad the brakes, teering, nd suspension worked on to ensure they were safe and reliable, nd I replaced multiple ignition components. (The ignition pickup went bad so I replaced the ignition module, ickup, oil, lugs, ires, nd cap and rotor to ensure that it would start and run dependably every time.)

The car starts without hesitation, uns very well, nd handles and stops as it should. The only mechanical issue I'm aware of is that the gear shift will pop out of second gear if you let off the gas (we just hold it until third) but I'll discount for this. The convertible top works well, oes not leak, nd has a very clear rear window - but it does have some mildew staining from a car cover that developed a leak. (I'll discount for this as well.) It's not a concourse-level car (the paint and bodywork are good - not "perfect" ), ut it is a very good driver and looker as demonstrated in the photographs.

The panels and underside of the car show no rust, nd a magnet will stick to any area of every panel on the car - including the wheel arches, ower rockers, nd the rear lower quarter panels. (One of the most recent mechanics said it was the cleanest undercarriage he'd ever seen on a Fiat.)

Includes full factory shop/service manual, ar covers, arious accessories, nd large volume of service records and receipts.

Current Values: Hagerty shows a #2 car at $13,700, nd NADA shows "Average Retail" at $13,650. "Average Retail" is defined as: "This vehicle would be in good condition overall. It could be an older restoration or a well-maintained original vehicle. Completely operable. The exterior paint, rim, nd mechanics are presentable and serviceable inside and out. A '20-footer'." The NADA "High Retail" is $26,800, hile Hagerty's #1 car is $19,000. I have set my reserve to consider the NADA and Hagerty values with a significant reduction to reflect if the buyer wanted the transmission rebuilt and also wished to completely replace theconvertible top (not that either are necessary - but just in case).
