I'm selling my '59 Fiat Cabriolet. I started this project about three years ago, but other commitments prevent me from moving forward. New parts include 4 brand new 14" tires, 4 Atlas white wall rings, and a new brake master cylinder. There is some perforation in the driver side door and the floor boards, otherwise rust free. It does not have the original push rod 1200cc engine. I have a 1800cc twin cam engine from a '77 Fiat spider to go in it. I have honed the cylinders and the rings and rod bearings are new. I have a freshly shaved cylinder head to go with it that includes the rare Lancia Scorpion type exhaust cam box, which doesn't have the mounting boss for the distributor. I have a distributor for the engine block mounting point, and it is converted to breakerless ignition. This will give the engine a very clean look, as well as moving the distributor away from the exhaust side of the engine. I don't have an alternator or starter. Some of the wiring will have to be fabricated. I have all the trim, but the chrome pieces need to be replated. I have all the glass. I upgraded the "Alfin" front drums with the disc brake system from a later 1500 Cabriolet. I have a standard Fiat 124 spider drive shaft which bolts up to the stock rear end, but will need to be lengthened by about 4". This will be a good, rare project for someone who knows old Fiats. Contact me with any questions. I'll help arrange shipping.
