Description of 1971 Fiat 124 Spider Spider Convertible 2-Door

This is a nice driver condition 1971 Fiat 124 Sport Spider 1600 five speed. It was last a Father and Son Project after being Non-Op for several years. The motor was rebuilt and starts right up and runs smooth and quiet. 5 Speed Gearbox shifts smooth and good synchros. The last owners re did the interior with new carpet and replacement bucket seats that were reupholstered to match Maroon paint on car. I have some of the original seat parts, bones. Good tires and nice Abarth Mag wheels. Only have the 4 and no spare but have jack and tools. Has lots of extra parts from project. Older Robbins top with no tears and works well with replaced clear rear window. Electrical looks good and not butchered. Has nice roll bar and custom back deck replaced small kids seat. I have back or bottom of rear seat.
The project was rushed with paint and body work, or they didn't know how to do it and did it anyway. Looks good from 20' and could be re, sanded and sprayed properly. The records with car show that she was loved, driven and cared for. I have hand written record of all work done from 1987 thru 2002 and receipts and manuals. This is a nice solid driver that could be a great one with some cosmetic work.
It drives nice and runs cool.
