Description of 1967 Fiat 850 Some Missing Pieces

This Listing is for a Rare Classic 1967 Titled in 1968 Fiat 850 Bertone Spider Project Car. A Very Worthy and Now Growing in Value Project For Parts, Repair or Restoration as some parts like the Carello Head-Lamps and Tail-lamps are also common to some Lambo and/or Maserati Model Vehicles! Some Rust Evident in Pan/Floors, Lower Quarters and Rockers. It Started and was Running (lot driven) Off of a Remote Gas Tank (fuel tank needs cleaning/renewing) when I bought it approximately 7-8 years ago. It has been in a climate controlled storage warehouse ever since, but quite frankly I have not had the time needed to address it properly and really need to get my car lift back for other pressing projects!
After owning two later Fiat/Abarth 850 Spiders on the East Coast during the 1970's and 1980's, I developed a strong attraction to the earlier/original front flat head-lamp and more simple Carello design. Never having the money, opportunity or room for such a dream it did finally present as chance about 8 years ago, but at the same time the grandchildren started showing up and already have 6-7 collector cars/projects. As most of them out there this one was a bit rusty, but was very straight(un-crashed), had a great dash and was in my favorite Color: Azure Blue. The motor started and ran and was able to creep/move it-self around the parking lot abiet No Working Brakes. Once put on the top self of my car lift it never came back off but provided me with the "dream" and great hope of getting it done. Being no stranger to rusty projects I had previously prevailed in restorations of a Alfa Duetto Spider, a Fiat 124 Coupe and a X1/9, M-B 190SL and a M-B 250SL all equal to or worse than this project!, But now in my Grandfatherly Wisdom I have decided to pass this one one and finish the other two projects that I am currently over half done and see more T-ball and Soccer Games.
Here is all that I know about this car and how i came to it! It was an Ebay purchase from a fellow in Wisconsin (he never titled it) who believed that he bought it from the family of the 2nd owner. I was used in its later life with them as a bit of a dairy farm Golf-Cart/Gattor errand runner for many years and so the 33.548 miles may actually be it's original first round through!?! Most of it's original wheels and tires were rotten or flat when it arrived to my warehouse so I was able to switch them out with nice used set of Fiat X1/9 Rally Wheels with Michelin X165R13 tires with 1/4 to 1/3 thread remaining. The hood cable has now broken so the hood will not open but I believe that the battery box had some surface rust as well al it's front lower nose pan. It had no seats in it so we found some restored ones that have NOT been permanently mounted to the floor. The floor has evidence of repair or some patches. I all honestly for the new owner i would bite the bullet do it correctly and buy the necessary floors, rubber matt, quarter and rocker panels from Mr.Fiat or Similar supplier.and be done with the main rust for ever as evry thing else appears to be either repairable, superficial and/or surface rust. There is also the option of home made mig weld in patch panels and fiberglass repairs combined with Por-15 Prep and Paint could extend this cars life for a while to get cheap use but be prepared to have black paint on your face, arms and hands for a month or too! Quite Honestly It is worth doing Right as Prices Continue Upwards. I know very little more about this Sweetie! There are misc extra parts that come with including new black canvas convert top and a real nice tail panel trim with lights.
Miscellaneous Extra Parts Included:
