Description of 1956 Ford Other Customline Mainline Fairlane

1956 Ford 2Dr. Sedan V8 3Sp.
Complete car with a lot of extra parts, his car was a non runner when I got it, installed a new gas tank and lines, ebuilt the 4bbl. carb. 292 or 312 it has the right markings for either engine, ut I have not taken the pan off to check any Numbers. The vin check on this car shows it was an original 6 cylinder car. New plugs and wires, t was converted over to a Chrysler style electronic ignition years ago. All new brakes, aster cylinder, heel cylinders, hoes and hardware, ll brake hoses and new steel lines, achined all drums, epacked front bearings, t runs and stops now, ll lights work, eats are in decent shape, eadliner is coming apart, heep carpet on floor.
The car has had patch panels installed many years ago and it shows, he floors were covered in sheet metal, ot the best job, ut I guess it worked for that person, he Front of the car had a custom grill and some work done to the front sheet metal in the 70's but was smacked in the right front bumper area and cracked a lot of bondo. I have 2 front bumpers, front fenders that will need some work The car will need exhaust, have 2 original style down pipes. I have a set of aftermarket gauges that go with the car also, nd a set of bubble skirts. The tires are old and will need to be replaced, nd I have a front crossmember for it, he original has some rust. The car comes with 4 blue wheels, ot the red wheels in the picture.
It smokes but the more I run it, he less it smokes, t may stop smoking after some time, he engine sounds very good, o knocking, r ticking. I was going to pull it out, one the cylinder walls, eplace the rings, nd work the valves, eplace all gaskets and seals and stick it back in.I have only driven the car for short distances in my neighborhood, ust to check the clutch and brakes. I know it will have bugs to work out if you want a daily driver.The drivers door will not open from the inside, eels like the linkage at the inside handle has broken free, ormally just take it out and a small weld will fix this problem.1 on the rear windows is missing the handle and I don't think it will roll down.
It is not a show car, ut can be a driver with some tires and exhaust, aint it flat black and call it a Rat rod if you want.I ask if you live nearby please come and look at the car before bidding, ust send me a message and we will set up a time for you to come by, f you have no intension of buying the car please don't bid, f you need to ask somebody for permission, lease get it before bidding, t cost money to sell things and I don't have the time for nonpayment or no-shows.I will never get my money out of this car, have ran out of time for this car, t can be a decent car if you have a little time.I have a clean title for this car, nd a set of 1956 Va. plates that will go with this car.Very low reserve price, id now and bid often.If you want pictures of a specific area let me know, nd if I can see it, will try to get a picture of it.I have this car listed locally and reserve the right to remove it at any time.
