Description of 1965 Ford Mustang |
Everyone has a Mustang story. Wherever someone sees a classic Mustang it brings back a surge of history and past experience. I can't list how many times someone has approached me with a story that had to do with a 1965 Mustang while I have been out and about. After owning this Mustang for six years, have my Mustang story. The time has come to pass on the torch for someone else to create another story with this car. If you are still reading that means you want to know more about the car. Below I will give you all the information you could need, oth positive and negative. The car has a 302, aired with a C4 transmission that was rebuilt less than 3,000 miles ago. The car runs and drives great as a cruiser. I took the car into Old School Auto Repair in late May to have the engine looked over from the winter rest. The tech fixed a stuck lifter and rebuilt the accelerator pump on the carb. Overall the engine is running fine with the tech recommending new plugs. Here is a list of what the car contains: The car suffers from cracks in the paint along the rear fender/trunk seam due to body twist. The unibody design of early Mustangs is prone to this and lots of early Mustangs can be seen with this curse. See pictures for details of paint blemishes. The interior is almost perfect besides a dime sized cut on the back of the passenger seat (see picture). This car is not a show car as it does have some blemishes. Its shape is excellent considering it is 50 years old; what 50 year old person isn't going to have a scar or two. The car could either be used as a weekend or special trip cruiser with no modifications needed or could be a great base to start an uber restomod project on. See a video of this item |
