Description of 1922 Ford Model T Model T |
This is a vintage 1922 Ford Model T Roadster Pickup. The body is black. The bed is yellow and the wheel spokes are red. I drove this car up to 2001 when it went into storage. It has not been run or started since. It was driving fine before it went into storage. The car will need a new battery and some work to get it going again. The motor turns freely. The car comes with a top which has been taken off. The fabric has deteriored and will need replacement. The rear stay on the top has broken at its junction with the metal support so that the oak will have to be replaced. The carburater will likely need to be cleaned to get it running again. This car is not a show car and was used as a fun driver. We took it to many events. The body is a cut down touring with the pickup bed built onto the back. We added brake lights to it. It has a wolf whistle on the exhaust manifold and a hand opperated Klaxon Ooga horn on the drivers side. The motor is a 1926 motor which has the electric starter. The upper windshield glass cracked during storage and needs to be replaced. When we got the car we replaced the ring gear, he rings on one of the pistons, he head gasket and a lot of other parts to get it running well back then. It comes with two extra tires on rims. The two front tires rubber has worn out and will likely need to be replaced. There are some old tools in the tool chest on the running board and there are some other odds and ends that go with the car that are not pictured. A nice summer project for someone to get running again and use. Please contact us with any questions. If you live near by you can make an appointment to view the car. At the end of the pictures I also included several short movies of the car. The buyer must be able to pickup the car or arrange for its shipping. The car is sold "as-is".
