Description of 1961 Ford Other 400e

Here is a super rare 1961 Thames Freighter 400e Van. Imported from england, ade by ford of england.
Left hand drive.
Van currently runs and yard drives. It is a super cool vehicle. Van was stored for many years in a barn, nd is fairly solid. Some rust in the front rocker but nothing bad at all. the rest of the body is solid. The front passenger side suffered an accident but could be fixed with a good body man.
The engine is a 4 cylinder, nbetween the seats. I replaced the Clutch master and slave cylinder and lines, nd it works and shifts good.
Brakes will all need to be re-done, s well as lines. i have found a source for a new master cylinder. Wheel cly rebuild kits and shoes are available on ebay.
The lower radiator hose is blown. i believe an Econoline hose looks very similar and should work. as of now i only run it for about 20-30 seconds.
The interior was converted/made into a "camper, eaturing shelving, ini closet, in, nd a rear facing bench seat. along with full wrap around curtains, nd very period "faux wood grain" on the surfaces !! groovy!!
the gas tank would need to be flushed and coated from sitting. this vehicle sat for over 10 years without running, o the fuel in the tank is varnished. I have it running off of a 2 gallon can, nd and electric fuel pump.
There are no keys for the van. the ignition is universal. I had to loosen the screws that hold the door handles on in order to open the rear and side door.
Tires are in OK shape and have decent tread and hold air.
The engine cover was off in the pictures. is in included.
the rear window gaskets are bad. i took one of the windows out because it was very loose. the other should probably be taken out for transport.
This is a very unique and rare van, hope i can find someone who will enjoy it and bring it back to its former glory. i am overwhelmed with how many people are asking me what it is and about it !
Obviously with this information you should know to bring a trailer. i can assist with loading and can store the vehicle for as long as needed.
