Very Rare Hardtop1 Year Only 1963 Falcon Futura2 Door CoupeCalifornia CarAll Original 1 Owner CarHere is a very good hard to find 63 Hardtop Futura. All original 1 owner car that is pretty close to original as you can get for a car that has seen the road and actually lived life rather than purchased to be collected. The owner kept it up very well and always kept it as original as possible. The only reason it is even primered is due to the fact that the grandson did not want to drive a yellow car. He lost intrest in it and left it at his grandfathers house and he decided to sell it after it sitting back in his garage for 7 years. So other that the remaining black primer which was applied around 1998 or so it appears to be all original. The carpet was said to have been replaced as well as the headliner but other than that its all original interior. There was a place on the passenger quarter that had scrapped a pole and someone put some bondo but its minimal. There is also a place on the top of the passenger fender but it does not look bad. Other than those 2 spots there is no body damage or bondo. There is no rust what so ever in the body, oof, runk, round windows except pass floor. The pass floor has maybe 3-5 spots where you could put a #2 pencil through. All other floor area is amazing. All the trunk paint and under the package tray is in amazing condition and still wearing the original paint. All the chrome is there and in decent shape. The rear bumper is bent and would be repairable. The front is good, rill is amazing as well as all other side trim. All the glass is good. Windows roll up and down good. Lights and gauges work, orn does not because someone swapped the steering wheel but the original is there. The brakes are good. Tires look good but are old. Engine runs amazing, oes not leak or smoke. Carb is actually good and responsive. Radiator looks good. Trans shifts if you shake the shifter to get it in gear, t has a problem with the linkage and tries to move both rods at once but if you fool with it enough 1 rod moves and it will go into gear. Overall the car is amazing for its age and was very well taken care of and kept in a garage its entire life. This would make a very good Sprint clone or a nice 6 cyl driver. You will save a fortune on body work with this car and actually have a good unmolested car wearing all of its original sheet metal rather than cheap china sheet metal that cost more than the panel is worth just to get it to look somewhat factory. Nothing beats an all original sheet metal car and that's what makes this a car worth building and you get the bonus of having a very desirable 1 year only car.This car is currently NOT registered in California and will have additional fees if registered in the state of California only. It does have a Clean California title. If registered in any other state or country the back fees will not apply to you, nly back fees will be due in California.
