Description of 1935 Ford 48 |
Restored car with very nice paint and chrome. It is a model 48 with 85 HP flathead V-8 engine. The upholstery had been completely redone, ut has some small holes in seat upholstery that is believed to be caused by moths and has since beentreated. Hydraulic brakes have been added. The previous owner is deceased and the car has been kept in a museum the past three years. I am selling for his children. While a pre-war car guy, am not V8 savvy, o ask questions. While odometer reads 29,900 the actual milage in not known. Comes with a box of extra small parts and poor front fenders. The car may be seen during open hours at Kokomo Indiana Automotive Museum, r contact to arrange viewing. $500 Paypal deposit within 3 days and car not released or title transferred until all fundsirrevocably in estate's account. Full payment due within 10 days. On Jul-10-15 at 12:24:08 PDT, eller added the following information: Has original radio. On Jul-11-15 at 12:53:47 PDT, eller added the following information: Report from museum trip: I took a new battery to put in the '35 today. It cranked slow, hich may indicate the new battery needs an initial charging or some starter electrical contacts need cleaning, ut it started up. The engine ran fine and the brakes (hydraulic) worked fine, lthoughthey did need to break free at first. I checked oil and it was a bit dark, o that combined with it's age, ndicates to me that it should be changed. No other issues noted, he car should be ready to drive out, ith only minor checking over. to assure road readiness. On Jul-14-15 at 13:07:51 PDT, eller added the following information: To answer a question on the mechanism for windshield and rear window toward rumble seat. I had Jim at the museum check them out for me and he answered that both worked smoothly as they should. The same person questioned if the tile had been updated. The Indiana title had a transfer at death clause, o cars arein his adult children's names. |
