Description of 1956 Ford Other

This is a NO RESERVE auction. The highest bidder wins. This auction is forTWO items. The first is a 1956 Ford Country Sedan. The second item is for a 1963 Mobile Scout canned ham type travel trailer. Your bid is forBOTH items. I will not separate them. The two are a matched set and will look great when completed. I can't complete the project since I have been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease.

First, he Ford is fairly complete and quite reasonably straight. The glass is all good with the exception of the driver's side window which was broken when a ladder tipped over against it. It is flat glass and should be an easy replacement. The stainless trim for the left rear quarter is included. The car has a Ford 292 C.I. Thunderbird engine. I haven't checked numbers but I would bet that it is the original engine. It is coupled to a standard transmission that has the rare factory overdrive option. The original, inyl upholstery is due for replacement and has a unique branding iron pattern. As I recall, he pattern is available from a company called SMS for duplication. The pattern really gives the car a country/western effect. I believe the exterior color of the car is called "coral" since the car looks pink.

Included in this sale is a professionally rebuilt carburetor that is still in the plastic wrap. I also have an extra rear lift glass assembly, our brake drums, he rear cargo door trim and latch assembly, nd perhaps some other miscellaneous parts. I do not have the tail light lens which is an easily attainable item. The car presently has bucket seats installed in the front, ut I do have the original bench seat assembly and it is included in the sale.

1963 Mobile Scout: I began polishing on the body to give it an Airstream effect. The plan was to add some 'coral' paint trim to make it match the car. Tail light/license frame have been painted and new lenses are included but uninstalled. The trailer has new tires (3-4 years old) with zero miles on them. Wheels have been painted. Bearings have been cleaned and packed and a set of new baby moon hubcaps is included. The trailer could probably be towed 'as is' with a quick set of portable tail/brake lights added.

The interior of the trailer needs to be finished to the owner's desires. Some work has been completed though. A new kitchen counter top has been installed and a new stainless steel sink is included (to be installed). Simple plumbing needs to be completed. A new small refrigerator is included along with a roof A/C unit. Floor covering of your choice needs to be completed along with window covering selection. Some light carpentry needs to be completed. An original pedestal table is included. The trailer also has a closet with a Porta Potty for privacy. The entry door has been completely rebuilt after the cardboard core incurred water damage and became loosey goosey and flippy floppy. I rebuilt the inner core with hardwood and it is now solid as a rock. Mobile Scout was famous for their triangular shaped door windows. The old dried out window seal has been replaced with a new one.

A new modern window was replaced in the back of the trailer with plans to add a small plastic window box to the outside along with artificial flowers. Then I was going to add window shutters to all the windows to give it a homey look. Much has been done and there is still a bit of work to do. But when completed, he Ford and trailer will be a knockout wherever you go.

I have a clear title on the trailer and one on the Ford (if I can locate it). Otherwise I may have to order a duplicate which may take a few weeks.
