Description of 1964 Ford Falcon Futura

I am selling my 1964 Falcon Futura. It is painted in 1996 Corvette Yellow with just a touch of pearl added to give it more sparkle. I did a full rotisserie restoration. The entire car was sandblasted to bare metal, ower and inner surfaces sprayed with "zerorust" and the bottom of the car was sprayed with "rubberized undercoating". The whole interior of the car including the trunk area was covered with aluminized insulation that you can see in a couple of the pictures. You will notice a couple of the pics of the interior show the shifter that was on the old transmission. It is now a five speed on the Tremec. T5Z. I have a list of 14 pages of all the parts and accessories that were bought for the car. There are only 2000 miles on the car since it was completed. I drive it to local shows and trailer it to shows that are too far to drive such as Reno Hot August Nights.

The body is in excellent condition. The paint is beautiful as you can see from the pictures. The interior is all new. The dash was rechomed. It has all new carpet, ew "Falcon" mats. All interior chrome was redone and is beautiful. The car originally had bench seats but I changed to bucket seats and it has the Falcon console with all new chrome. All upholstery is new from "Falcons and Comets Seattle". New Headliner. All new wiring harnesses. Billet leather wrapped banjo steering wheel. New Stereo and CD Player in glove box with original radio still installed but not hooked up. It has 4 speakers inside with 4 10" subwoofers in the trunk in the total trunk fiberglass surround with the amplifier that lights up blue when in use. It is a very loud stereo system but at 67 years of age I still love very loud rock and roll. The trunk surround draws huge crowds wherever the car shows. Especially the younger people. Some older folks don't like the loudness, ut......

The engine is a 347 stroker with the short block purchased from DSS Racing Engines. You can check outtheir engines on their website. It is the level 10 block with all forged internals and all balanced. It has AFR 185 Aluminum Heads roller rockers. The intake is a Edelbrock Dual Carb Air Gap polished intake with Dual 450 Edelbrock Carbs. The Air Cleaner is beautiful and the valve covers are also.It has"Dougs" long tube headers toDMH Performance electric cutouts.

The transmission is a Tremec T5Z 5 Speed, It has a new bell housing. Billet Flywheel, able clutch. It has Posi-trac rear end with 3-36 gears.Everything on the rear end including all brakes is new. All was powder coated including the drive shaft as you can see in the pictures. New Torque Thrust "D" chromed wheels with BFG Radial TA's

The engine was dyno tested this spring and has 336 rear wheel horsepower. It sounds great with the normal exhaust but I installed the electric cutouts to run open exhaust when I want it. It is loud, ut it sounds great and draws a lot of crowds.

The car has won numerous awards at many shows and has been shown in Reno at Hot August Nights for the last three years. It is registered this year and if I sell it I will try and get the registration changed to the new owner. It has won a best of show, est chrome, est Ford, est 60's car, articipants choice, tc. It is indeed a show car, ut it runs and drives fantastic. It cruises at 70 mph at 2000 rpm. It never overheats even in the parades in Reno when it was 100 degrees outside.

I am going to list some of the new parts. Everything in the car was replaced. All chrome is redone. Aluminum trim looks very good. Grill was chromed. It has a four core aluminum radiator with shroud. Hood hinges and hood lock mechanism are chromed. The brake master cylinder is chromed. The engine brace is chromed. It has the MSD Blaster coil. Billet battery cover over the Optima battery. IT has the "March Serpentine Pulley System". Chrome Alternator, New Water Pump. New Power Steering Pump. New Radiator Chromed Overflow Canister. New Mini-starter. All new exterior badges. All new tail light buckets and lenses. All new door handles and window handles. New gas tank with new gas cap. The car has been fitted with the inside the trunk gas filler pipe to eliminate gas overflows. It is accessed under the fiberglass surround that removes in a few seconds. It has new sending unit and new electric fuel pump.

There is one thing that doesn't show in the pictures. The hood hits the air cleaner when shut, o I remove it when driving and place it on the top when showing. There is a flat plate on top of the air cleaner when driving.
