Description of 1929 Ford Model A |
1929 Ford Coupe "Bonneville Girl" I had this car professionally built approx 3 years ago from ground up using a wedge-chopped steel Ford body on a real 1932 Ford boxed frame and various other vintage Ford body parts to look like a traditional hot rod racer. Last year, he car completed over 2,400 miles driving round-trip on Hot Rod Magazine's 2014 "Power Tour" from Charlotte, C to Wisconsin Dells, I and was awarded a Long Haul Certificate & Award. 1929 Ford body with wedge chop and filled roof 1932 Ford boxed frame 1931 Ford radiator shell off Standard pick-up truck 1932 Ford hood 1940 Ford steering wheel w/ tilt column 1946 Ford dropped axle 1950 Pontiac taillights 1960 Triumph trunk hinges 350 Chevy w/ T350 trans GM 10 bolt rear Steel floor All new wiring harness Professional interior in red w/ traditional style stitching Hidden CD stereo w/ USB port for iphone 4-bar link suspension with coil over shocks in rear All wood removed from body and replaced with steel 682 Headlights Lokar Shifter HEI distributor Coker 16" steel wheels and radial tires Disc brakes in front Power windows Aluminum radiator Dual exhaust w/ traditional Smitty's mufflers then wrapped Built to look like a post-war salt flats racer with some modern safety details such as suspension and disc brakes. Car was photographed by Hot Rod Magazine and posted on their website several times during the Power Tour. Professional artwork was made of car for posters and T-shirts, an be included. Car is also used in Germany as their publicity ad for an "All American Automotive Parts" company, lyer included. Exterior numbering, ettering and pinstriping done by hand in a traditional style. Car is geared for highway speeds, s excellent on MPG, as never been raced and handles very well. This is the most comfortable Model A that I've ever owned and driven for legroom and ride. The wedge chop (lower in front than rear of cab) allows for a more aggresive raked look with more headroom in the rear of the coupe. Three layer paint with yellow under red then black epoxy flat paint as final layer, hen buffed for hours with various areas of black that was sanded down to look as if car has been worn and used for years. Includes all photos of car during build. Car is super fun and ready to go. Do not expect a perfect show car. She is built to look like an old racer. Has approximately 4,000 miles on car since build, ll driven by myself. I'm only selling car to build next project. Feel free to call to inspect, est drive or with any other questions or photos.
