Description of 1990 Ford Mustang

This is a 1990 Mustang that WAS a 4 cylinder car that was professionally done and into a COBRA / SALEEN / SVT / THUNDERBIRD SUPER COUPE Car. This was NOT done by some Kid that was a dreamer of mustangs a then discovers Girls, oes everything half ass and looses interest... This was done by a Real Ford Guy. Who really loves Ford Mustangs and Thunderbird Super Coupe 1989 to 1995 style and wanted to make a swap of Drivetrain that was rare and different. So many engine swaps have been to this type of car its gotten boring........ Wow about this for a change ???!!! And plus 100% RELIABLE ???!!!! Well here it is !!! For starters see below.....
--ENGINE--came out of a low mileage Thunderbird SuperCoupe about 40.000 the cylinder heads were done just to be on the safe side and has crane roller rockers installed 1.7s. all new gaskets, ew sensors, nd new lower engine bearings, he engine has no were on it and is intended to be a keeper. Other then that the motor has no other mods to it. Stock wire harness all hooked up and running fine. No Hokey Jokey hook ups. Done right!
--TRANSMISSION-- is out of a 2003 mustang V6 that was not beat, ad low miles on it and was a perfect choice for this swap bell housing and all, lutch, hrow bearing, lywheel, lutch cable and speedo are stock 5.0 stuff. The clutch quadrant is a Steeda set not the stock plastic. Aluminum drive shaft out of a 1993 Steeda.
--REAR AXEL-- is out of a 1995 Mustang GT "SN95" with new Ford 3.27 gears, eals, earings and posi track. it has the 1993 Cobra parking brake cables hooked up and working. New rear shocks and quad shocks. New lower control arms, ppers are stock. rear springs are out of 1985 GT. "NOTE" Rear tires do slightly rub outer fender well but nothing drastic just note that. If you have pony rims and tires no rub. This is because the SN95 axel is wider. Not a problem just making note of it.
--BRAKES-- Front stock 1993 GT, ear stock 1995 GT ''SN95''
--EXHAUST-- From the engine to the tips is -V6 Ford Headers from a 2003 Mustang, acked by 2 empty cats to 2-1/2 Cherry Bomb Resonators to Thrush Hush Mufflers,We had so many exhaust combos for this swap it was nuts. This one came out the best !
--GAUGES-- all gauges are hooked up and working. Gas, emp, olts, il, ven the Check engine light is hooked up too and NO! Its not on. It has no faults in system . The tach needs to be calibrated and the speedo is correct from what I can tell, nbsp;it does bounce at slow speeds sometimes, ot all the time,
--AIR CONDITIONING-- The wiring is hooked up to it, ne low side line is hooked up to condenser to evaporator . Compressor is missing its clutch. So to finish it, ompressor lines need to be custom made to finish pluming a new compressor, ill it with 134A and off you go.
--BODY-- has only 71.000 on it never been beat original owner was a Girl. Them me, nd my Wife. Body is mint !!! The roof has some small dents it it from hail rust so on the body shop did the best they could, ut the car is black and it showed. The rest of the car came out so well She is Beautiful and it shows please see pics ! New headlamps. New Taillamps 85/86 style. New lower window body molding both sides. New top roof drip rail moldings. New wipers a year ago. All glass is in nice shape. Door jam molding seals are O.K. THIS HAS THE 1990 SALEEN BODY GROUND EFFECT KIT ON IT ! This tricks a lot of the 5.0 people out there and is fun when that happens, hinking its Cobra ground effects... Stock LX rear wing. FRAME CONNECTORS BOLTED IN .
--WHEELS-- 1993 Mustang Cobra New !
--TIRES-- Continental 255/40/17 tire were is about at half all around. And just had the car aligned.--STEERING-- It has the stock 4 cyl Rack in it. So the steering is very sharp with the larger tires.
--INTERIOR--Has the 1994 Thunderbird Super Coupe front seats and steering wheel. The seats are power on both sides and work great ! The shifter knob is also from a SC and is new ! Has new headliner. Has the stock cassette player and phone ! I left that for time period looks and gets the WOWs at car shows and a nice converse pice to talk about.
This car was done with Love and care and we have had it for over has 10 years! I DONT really know the Horse Power ... Maybe 290 or 300 ??? All i can say it Moves !!! very fast gets out of the Hole and is Geared right ! Puts a smile on your face as you climb her through the gears. Reason for selling, have so many cars and this one has been sitting in my garage for some time and I am making room for the next one. It hurts me to sell it plus being
--100% RELIABLE --with no weird crap, have a on/off switch for the cooing fan it is tapped into the temp sensor harness and when switched it cuts it out tricking the fan to go on. "Note" that the check engine light goes on when doing so because it sees no temp sensor signal.... Other then that its all Thunderbird Ford Stock and blows the DieHard Ford boys away !!! So I am not DESPERATE..... IF IT SELLS.....??? Fine... If not ??? Fine ...... If you know Fords and Fox body mustangs and you want something cool, ifferent, nbsp;this is for you! PLEASE DONT BUY THIS CAR IF THIS IS GOING TO BE YOUR FIRST MUSTANG !!!!! This is not for you !!!
Had some questions that were "in-box" to me that I will answer for everyone.(1) -Q- how does it handle?-A- It takes the twists on back roads like on rails!
(2) -Q- how is the steering rack being sensitive with 4 cyl rack? -A- its not bad. I like it ! Its my preference. Change it if you want.
(3) -Q- can you hook up the old Phone still ???-A- No!
(4)-Q- What front springs are in the car ? And does it bottom out ?-A- Stock 4 cyl springs that are perfect, ropped the car 1 and a 1/2 inch. Struts were replaced years ago and no problems. No she does not bottom out. Only the slight tire rub on outer fender well with 93 Cobra rims, gain nothing crazy.
(5)-Q- What is the reserve price ? What are you looking to get for the car ?-A- I was looking to get $8700.00 I was just seeing what would happen. I have the price set at $7900.00 with a best offer.
