Very nice example of a rare first year econoline trucks. These are very rare and hard to find in any shape any more. This vehicle does run and has been used in many local parades. It was a advertising vehicle here in Atlanta. It has some lower rust which I have tried to take pictures of and the tailgate is really the worst area but the floorboards and frame ect are in great unrestored or covered up shape. The vehicle cranks and runs but brake lights stick so it drains the batt. after a day or two if you dont disconnect the terminal. Interior isabsolutelybeautiful and I believe it had a luggage rack of something mounted to top as there are 4 little holes where it looks like something was bolted through the top. Some very bad skim coat work was done at one point to front grill area but being it really needs to be sanded down and fix the small outside rust areas, his could be remedied easily.I'vedone many restos over the years and this would be a easy father/son project for the garage. The van was painted with some kind of yellow line x type material and all areas are very sound with exceptions of areas in photos. I love this old truck and would love to see it go to a home that would fix it up right. Truck spent almost all of its life in Texas until 8 years ago when it came to Atlanta which probably explains how it hasnt rusted away like most of these did.
