The body gaps are as the factory set them and aside from a ding on the driver's front fender, t's completely unmarked. This car has lived a charmed life, hat much is clear, nd as a special-order car that shouldn't be a surprise. All the chrome and stainless trim is original and in excellent condition, ncluding the bumpers and rocker panel trim which usually get hit the hardest. Go ahead, ook it over carefully. You're going to be very impressed.The black interior is completely original and with so few miles, ou shouldn't be surprised that it looks as good as it does. The front bucket seats show some very, ery minor comfort marks but no damage or other signs of age, he carpets are still in great shape, nd the door panels don't show so much as a depression where the driver's elbow might have rested. If we had to find faults, he chrome on the horn button isn't perfect anymore, ut man, hat's a small nit to pick. The gauges are bright and clear, he stainless trim on the console is still shiny, nd even the "garage" storage bin looks like new. You'll note factory A/C in the dash and an AM/FM radio that still pulls in stations loud and clear. The fold-down rear seat looks great and the trunk is immaculate with a proper plaid mat and original (yes, riginal) spare tire.We have every reason to believe that's the original, umbers-matching S-code 390 cubic inch V8 under the hood, lthough Ford made it almost impossible to be sure. With so few miles, t's never been open and runs the way only a great survivor can. There's a crisp burble from the twin tailpipes and the Ford Blue paint on the block and air cleaner make this one easy to identify. All the little details are still intact, aking this an incredible competitor in preservation classes, nd it moves the fastback with genuine authority. Underneath, t's completely original and reads like a road map for future restorers.
