Description of 1965 Ford F-100 |
For sale is my 1965 Ford F100 Custom Cab Ranger short wheel base pickup. I am the 3rd owner of this very clean and sharp truck. It is repainted in its original wimbleton white factory color. It has the deluxe front and rear factory chrome bumpers, eluxe trim package, edside tool box, ull size wheel covers, nd its original dealer rubber floor mats. Some folks were nice enough to decode the door warranty plate for me. According tothe warranty platethe truck was built in April of 1965 at the Kansas City Mo. plant. It originally came with a 240 six cylinder engine with a manual transmission. The body coloriswimbleton white with a body code F81. The body code F81 means it came with red vinyl bucket seats (Ranger package). The DSO code is 64. This means it was originally shipped to New Orleans La. and later delivered to the dealer's lot that sold the truck new. The truck's original owner still lives in the Louisiana Delta which is about an hours drive from my house.I still have most of his tag receipts dating back to the 1960's. These will go to thebuyer and will be inside the console. I have met the original owners neighbors by accidentwhen they saw the truck. They spoke of how he took care of it and howthey never thought he would have ever sold it. I recently redid the interior which included installing new seat covers, as tank curtain, oor panels, arpet, tc. It has a new windshield and windshield gasket. It also has new door window "whisker strips". The door window vent channelsare original and need to be replaced. The side trims looksgood for driver condition but would really"pop" if it was restored or replaced. The paint on the truck is very nice and shiny. For some reason women seem to like color along with the red contrasting interior. The pictures I posted were taken today (08-18-15). I have another 1965 Ford F100 pickup that I plan to modify. It still has its original 240 six cylinder engine. This engine will be available to the buyer in case they want to remove the 302 and go back to an original year of manufacture engine. The overall condition of the truck is very nice driver quality. If the buyer were to detail the truck, nside the bed,and underside it would help make it an even better vehicle. I chose to not paint underneath the truck's body mounts, loor pans, tc so that nothing would appear hidden from the buyer. I have more pictures of the truck and especially the underside. I will be more than happy to emailphotos and give my phone number to a serious buyer. I am a serious seller. The title iscleanand in my name. I have no idea what a 65 Ranger is worth so we will see what happens. Iset a low reserve on the truck so that it will sell this go round to a serious buyer. |
