Up for bid is an all original 1973 Ford Pinto that is in remarkable condition for its age. This beautiful Pinto comes out of an estate and it had one female owner since new. It still has its original blue and gold California license plates. The car has never been painted and the interior is all original as well. We are a small used vehicle dealer in northern California and we bought this car at an auction. The woman who was the original owner passed away and the family decided to sell the car through a dealer who brought it to the auction. As far as we know, he car has been sitting in a garage and either not driven at all, r driven very little since 2005. We found a parking permit sticker on the windshield that expired in 2005.
The interior of the vehicle is absolutely beautiful, ith the exception of a separation in the upholstery on the drivers seat and one side of the rear seat. There are a couple of spots on the top of the right front fender, ut I certainly wouldn't compromise the value of the car by painting them. This little Pinto runs and drives excellent. It starts right up and the transmission shifts perfectly. The car does have a bit of a rough idle, ut I believe that is from sitting for so many years. As soon as the car comes off idle, t runs fine. Could be junk in the gas or carburetor.
There are very few of these little cars around anymore and from what I'm seeing, hey are increasing in value every day.. If you're a collector on a budget, don't think you can go wrong here..
