Description of 1955 Ford Thunderbird

1955 Ford Thunderbird first year for the baby birds, 955-1956-1957
Pro Touring,Restomod,street rod or traditional hot rod style.
Beautiful jet black base clear paint job that is very straight. All metal car. Have pictures of it stripped to bare metal, ot a fiberglass replacement parts car. No rust. Original floors that are super clean underneath the car with original undercoating and such
Nothing was cut off the body or the frame to fit the updated Motor. Yes we have the completely rebuilt original 292 V-8 and it is included with the sale of the car
Motor is a rebuilt 1992 HO motor with high performance comp cam, oller rockers, ouble springs, ntake, arb, horty headers, EI ignition, core polished aluminum radiator with electric fan and more. Brand new Mandrel bent exhaust. GM 1 wire alternator.
Transmission is a rebuilt AOD with a stall converter and shift kit. Since this was a manual car originally we wanted it to still look correct inside the car so we went with a hurst shifter that looks like a vintage 4 speed shifter.
New custom mad drive shaft, alanced with new U joints.
Stock rear differential has had new seals and new axle bearings.
Disc brakes in the front with new drum brakes on the rear.
Front drop spindles.
almost new vintage Air Conditioning system that blows cold.
New custom made new wiring harness.
Has hard top. with new rubber seals and headliner.
New cloth soft top on original soft top frame. New cloth covered rubber seals also installed
Custom recovered original power seat, ew carpet, ew door panels. Original dash that is not cut and still has a very nice original cover. Trunk has had the same carpet installed as the floor with side panels to trim it out very nicely. Before all the interior was installed. the top side of the floor metal was stripped, leaned and had POR 15 laid out. Then hush mat installed to help insulate and sound deaden the car.
Updated chrome tilt column with wood grant wheel.
Brand new glass in the car.
New tail light lenses and turn signal lenses.
Optima red top gel battery.
Lots of fresh chrome on this car. All the bumpers, indshield trim, handles, ail lights and such have been done and are beautiful to look at. If you have restored a car you know how much money chrome costs.
Car is super shiny and gets lots of positive attention where ever it goes.
Brand new tires on fully polished American Racing salt flat special wheels.
