1936 Ford Woody SedanVehicle History Here is a letter written by a previous ownerdescribing the history of the Woody, s you can see the woody has seen war action, raveled aboard, as in a movie and has had articleswrittenaboutit. Dear Paul, The history of the car as far as I know it. It was made in Canada in 1935, he door glass indicates November 1935, old in the UK 1936 the car wasrequisitionedin 1940 by the government and was used by the WRVS. I found markings on the bonnet. It was returned to its originalowner, ho sold the car to a Ford Dealership at Bishop Auckland. It was then purchased by Mr. Graham in 1946 who owned a gravel company from Gainfor, he car was used by Mrs Graham until 1952when it was used as a pool car by office staff until bought by my brother for 13 pounds in 1954 . it was sold the next day for 25 pounds a vast profit in those days. The buyer was a Mr Loxley also of Gainford, ho used the car until 1959, hen it was stored until I purchased the Ford in 1979. I have owned the car since. The mileage showed 37,000 when I bought the car it is now 51,000 miles, t is possibly correct but I could notguaranteeit as so. It has no mechanical faults of anydescriptionit is as good underneath as on top. The Big photo was when it came into 2nd in class at the Northern Ford gathering sponsored by 'Fast Ford Magazine' it was beaten by a 1953 Ford 8HD with 3,000miles from new, o Ididn'treally mind. The car has been on TV in Heartbeat and the subject of a magazine article in 'American Classics'.I was invited to take the car to 'Esenn Motor Show' in Germany by the 'Pre 50 American Auto Club' but personal reasons said no. The car is in very good condition and iscurrently taxed and tested.
