Description of 1965 Ford Galaxie XL Package

1965 Galaxie 500 XL 2 door fastback

Canadian built in Oakville, ntario.

Original 390 with factory 4 barrel carburetor and original automatic transmission. The motor runs smooth but smokes a bit, he carb is temperamental, nd the transmission is tired but shifts fine. The car is started daily, nd driven very occasionally.

89,960 on the odometer. This is assumed original mileage, ut ultimately I have no proof...

Original white "T-Bird" interior with center console shifter and bucket seats (drivers seat is powered and works). Power windows -all working except rear passenger which is missing a switch (motor was tested years ago and worked then, o I think it just needs the switch). The original white vinyl interior is pretty nice with no major tears or rips. The armrest pads are cracked, ut the rests themselves are solid with no cracks. All interior lights work. The headliner is solid, oes not sag, nd is clean with just a few scuffs here and there.

New brakes: master cylinder, heel cylinders, nd shoes. The drums were turned, oo. Front bearings repacked.

Newer shocks and custom Quickor anti-sway bars front and rear. Aftermarket Magnum 500 wheels with newer Les Schwab Grand Prix tires with lots of tread.

This caris straight with no known rust issues. The paint is not original and not perfect (some stippling in a few places, ut looks pretty good with minor chips and scratches here and there and one small dent/scratch to the right rear quarter-panel (the scratch shows filler, think). All exterior trim and emblems present, ll chrome in good shape.

What I know it needs:

-New water pump (small leak dripping off the bottom hose which was just replaced, o I think it's the pump)

-New Idler Arm

-Eventually the motor and transmission need to be gone over and rebuilt. This was my original plan, ut now I need to sell it!

I bought this car in 2002, nd it was my reliable daily driver (literally) until 2008 when I decided to put it in storage (in my garage for 7 years)and started driving something more practical. Now due to other needs it's time to sell. This car isgreat for someone who wants a nice daily driver, ndperfect enthusiast with a mind for restoration.

More photos available, nd I will take specific photos if asked.
