Description of 1966 Ford Mustang |
I'm selling my 66 Mustang converted from a 6 cyl 3 speed to a 302 fuel injected 5 speed and completely rebuilt from the ground up 3 years ago. I completely striped the car down and replaced all rust and rot with new metal. installed a factory hood scoop and ran the dual exhaust through the rear valance as the factory would including reproduction chrometail pipe extensions. The engine is a stock 1995 302 with headers and the factory 5 speed transmission. The rear axel assy is also out of the 95 GT including rear disk brakes. The wheels and tires are new take off items from a 2010 Mustang GT and the front suspension was all replaced with 66 GT disk brakes and all new V-8 suspension items including adjustable coil over shocks in the front and air shocks in the rear. The interior is two tone pony style and has a Dakota digital dash along with a built in DVD/GPS/Radio unit with 4 speakers. The glass and window trim are original but all gaskets replaced or updated. Everything works with the exception of the interior lights. They did work but for some reason the fusenow blows indicating a direct short. I will be looking for the issue as this is up for sale and hope to have it repaired by the end of the auction. The paint is Midnight Blue Base Coat/Clear Coat and has a great shine/finish. There is a chipped (has been brush touched up) area on the left rear wheel well down low and also a scratch on the left rear quarter extension. otherwise the paint is in excellent condition. This is an extremely dependable vehicle and was built as such for my daughter to drive so I made sure it was safe and dependable......problem is she never drives it....ever..... Since completion it's been drive locally maybe 35 times for short blasts to the store or out to dinner. It's a shame to let it sit any longer so I'm putting it up for auction. You're welcome and encouragedto contact me and come inspect the carbefore you bid, nbsp;it's sold as is with a deposit of 500.00 (non refundable) paid within 24 hours of auction close. I will consider possible single engine aircraft trade up or down and would also consider an unfinished experimental aircraft as a trade. I might consider an older truck project towards the final price too but it needs to be 1970 or older and I prefer older than that. I would also consider interesting project or finished convertible trades (MGA, R6, tc). I have 2 file folders full of receipt's from the build process on this Mustang and would be happy toshow youtheinvoices. I spent well over 10,0000 plus 2 years of time to build this carso I have no intentions of giving it away. If you are out of town and want to fly in and drive it home I'll gladly pick up at any of the nearby airports including 4 in NY and 1 in CT. If you want me to deliver the car to you I would be willing to discuss that option also. AGAIN !!!! the winning bidder must send via Pay Pal a 500.00 deposit within 24 hours of the auction close and make arrangements to pay the balance within 5 days. I will help facilitate the pick up or delivery. The car is located in Brookfield CT just over the NY boarder off RTE 84 Joe D |
