Description of 1965 Ford Other Pickups

Putting my baby up for auction.. the only person who will miss her more than me is my 2 year old son who just loves going for rides in daddy's "bus". Ill try to cover as much information as I can below, lease feel free to contact with any questions. For anyone looking for one of these, his model has all the right parts.. the big 240 straight 6, D rear axle, orrect spring special side trim and is mostly original other than components that have been updated for improved reliability. I have owned this car for 1 year and have put a little over 5000 miles on it taking it to work, ruise nights, hows at the diner, ome depot runs... just about anywhere as long as the weather was nice. There are few vintage cars that can be daily driven.. this is definitely one of them.

Body:

  • Mostly rust free, ever undercoated and extremely straight considering this truck spent most of its life hauling things around.
  • Single stage wimbledon white paint is >20 yrs old and has few runs and chips. Car is a solid 10 footer but far from a show car finish
  • Tailgate converted to pullout and flush mount with custom rear roll pan
  • small crack in left rear corner of roll pan. New sheet metal will be included to patch this area.
  • All new glass seals installed for windshield, ack window and quarter windows.

This car starts and runs great, teering is better than any other vintage econoline I have ever driven and she's happy to cruise at 80+ on the highway. The column shifter is notchy and accurate like an old bolt action rifle and the brakes and clutch are so easy to use that my wife will occasionally borrow the truck for a grocery run. This car also includes 3 point seat belts and a set of 8 ball door locks to match the 8 ball shift knob. The heater blows nice and hot so you can drive it in the winter and thanks to plenty of ventilation you can enjoy the car all summer long. I've spend a lot of time and money weeding out failing parts and interior rattles.. now this truck is ready to find a new home where it can be enjoyed as much as it was in ours.
