Description of 1931 Ford Model A SEDAN

O, ERE is the car your father would not let you buy.. a clone of the nostalgic racers that were used at Bonneville and El Mirage, omplete with a flaming eyeball(no roll cage)
Original frame is boxed in front and z'd 6 inches in front and 12 inches in rear, he center section of the frame is built of 6 inch square tubing.chopped to a 8 inch window.
Original wish bone was split and Radius rods in back are originals,
Front shocks are ford Hydraulic, ears are modern. 12 volt electric and headlights and signals all work, s street legal.
steering is a unisteer box for safety, teering wheel is on a removable hub.
Engine has 2 ford carbs and Hilborn stacks on EDMUNDS intake manifold.
Motor is 52 Mercury and transmission is mercury 3 speed overdrive and the shifter is reversed so you pull back to get 2nd geA, stacks on aIR intakes, t has a open driveshaft conversion on a 48 rear differential.
All the main parts are before 1955, xcept for the unisteer box.
Brakes are Buick finned drums in fron, nd 40 and up ford drums in the rear, ront hubs are ford, uperbell front axle is new, nd suspension parts are new.
Overall this car is almost brand new construction, t has been driven to shows
the temp gauge is a moon liquid filled gauge on the radiator, nd the oil pressure is a moon liquid filled on the oil filter line, oth visible from the driver seat. no speed o or tach, se GPS
If you dont like the rat rod loo, he paint could be stripped, nd body painted to a more traditional rod. cleaning the engine and frame in front could improve appearance also
