Description of 1965 Ford Galaxie

Up for sale is my 79,000 mile 1965 ford Galaxie 500 xl, riginal 4 speed .457 gears with Detroit locker, t has a 600 mile fresh 68 428 CJ dyno'd @ 505 hp on pump gas with all today's power upgrades.. Car was ordered in 65 as a 390 4spd no air no power steering, was told the 428 CJ was dropped in in 1972 and it was the original owners friday night race car never in rain or snow didn't leave the Suffolk county NY area till it was parked in his garage 1977 and never seen daylight till 2007.. The car was pulled out sold, one through then given a frame-on restoration in 2007 from the 2nd owner, he car was a early 70's street racer out of the Farmingville NY area most of its life so it was well known to people in the area.. I get many people who come up to me at shows and say I remember when this car ruled the streets when i was a kid in Suffolk County...I bought the car in Dec of 2013 and painstakingly went through the whole car..The car has 600 miles since the winter of 2014/2015 drive train rebuild, fter that it has never seen a race track or a drag race just weekend cruises and area shows with family..
When I pulled the motor and trans, gave it to Jeff Lawrence Racing of West Hampton Beach who is a known Ford engine builder and drag racer of over 40 yrs experience who tore the motor down and re built it bottom to top to last and be real fast, he motor produces 505 hp with the dyno ticket and is internally balanced, can furnish all part receipts he used to build the motor with Dyno and cam card.. Banner transmission rebuilt the 4spd top loader as well as Falcon clutch rebuilder of deer park made me the Kevlar clutch and pressure plate assembly to go along with a new flywheel inside the NHRA Ansen scatter shield. F>P>A custom made coated shorty headers, nd a full welded custom exhaust was put in. All new Ford racing gauges installed. It has Huge 4 core truck radiator,it never runs over 185 degrees even in traffic on a 90 degree day without an electric fan..A full tubular rear adjustable suspension by Spohn industries installed.. This car is very special, t stops people dead in their tracks by it's Ford Iconic sound and it's one of a kind appearance, t is one of the nicest old Fords on long Island certainly a piece of long Island race history as it lived its whole life on long Island and was run at Westhampton and Islip back in it's heyday..I paid $17,000 for the car in 2013 and over $13,000 for the rebuild and Trans not including the time and labor to take the motor and trans out and installed with modifications due to new oil pan, lutch and engine mounts when the rebuild was finished all totaled about another $4,000
I have the original steering wheel which is back on the car and 4 torque thrust wheels, thunderbolt aircleaner and tubing for the inlets if you wish to use, set of pie cutter slicks which were never used..I also have a brand new 3 core Griffin aluminum Radiator which was good for up to 400 hp which is still in the box which is smaller than the one that is in the car I will give to the new owner..
There is nothing this car needs everything except maybe upgrading the brakes as it still has the drum brakes and old type one reservoir master but for what I used the car for worked fine as it is in perfect working order ..Please serious inquiries only and bid only if you have the money.. The car is for sale locally and it has a fair reserve..Why am I selling? I used the car maybe 6 times this year too busy with my business and family obligations..Thanks..
