Description of 1963 Ford Falcon 2-door |
I bought this 2-door wagon in California 6 years ago and fixed it up for my wife to drive to work and around town. It runs excellent but we're moving cross-country so we need to sell. The 302 Windsor V-8 engine runs very nice. The C -4 automatic transmission was inspected and has no issues. The power steering and the brakes are fine. The drive train is fine. It took a while but I think I have all the suspension issues solved. I replaced the carb with a new Holley. I replaced the radiator. As you can see from the photos I used a Fairlaine to replace the column and steering wheel. The power rear window is operated by a switch I installed in the dash. I replaced the carpet and repainted the interior. I put in 5 sets of seat belts. I replaced the seat covers although the front seats still need spring work. I reinsulated the roof but didn't re fabric the ceiling. I fashioned door panels from foil insulation. I have a dome light, eplacement mirrors and a new radio I never installed. The tires are nearly new. The body has very little rust since it came from California. It has a hitch under the license plate. It passed the NYS safety inspection last month with flying colors. |
