Description of 1971 Ford Mustang BOSS FASTBACK

Selling my 1971 Boss 351 Mustang. I have restored many Mustangs in my 72 years but it is absolutely impossible to find cars that you can save anything on during the restoration. This car everything was refurbished and used just like a time capsule. It was different in the 80's cars were not that old and just needed a body on redo. But since the cars are now closer to 50 years old they usually need all the crappy repro chinese parts. This car has all original or NOS parts used in it's restoration by me. a man who had new Mustangs in the 60's and 70's and has done at least 12 of them. Car was always stored in a climate controlled environment so a lot of what you see is original. The car was a perfect numbers correct Boss with all parts correct as delivered by Ford. All original body no sheet metal replacement. The paint and body work are lazar straight. on an all original metal car no plastic no bondo. . THIS CAR COULD BE USED AS A STRAIGHT EDGE RULER body is perfect all panels properly aligned. Doors close with a pinky. Comes with original window sticker. marti report and all literature as delivered. Also a letter from Ford documenting it's early Boss build. SINCE THERE WERE ONLY ABOUT 1200 71 BOSS MUSTANGS BUILT AND ONLY ABOUT 400 ARE STILL KNOWN TO EXIST THEY ARE MORE VALUABLE AND RARE COMPARED TO THE 6000 BOSS 302's MADE. THESE CARS WILL CONTINUE TO GROW AS A GREAT INVESTMENT UNLIKE THE EARLIER BOSS CARS. NEXT YEAR THIS CAR WILL BE 10 TO 20 THOUSAND MORE. IF I WAS YOUNGER I WOULD NEVER SELL IT. Pictures might not be so good because the car is in my home in the inner climate controlled shop and I have not moved it out yet. SINCE THE RESTORATION CAR HAS NOT BEEN FILLED WITH GAS OR STARTED if and when a buyer is found I will put gas in it and start it up. At this point all electrical items have been tested and work. engine was timed and ready to start valves adjusted etc. Only needs gas. Car was sold through Schmidt Ford in Baltimore. Car was an early production built Nov 9. 1970. Ford says it was built between the 8th to 17th Boss 351. Comes of course with it's original Carb. Distributor. 391 axle. 31 spline etc. It is the deluxe white interior. Engine is standard bore correct trans of course. The Ford Hurst for 71 Black shifter was rebuilt. Ford manufactured argent 500 wheels not later replacements. Only mods to the engine is a cloyes double roller timing chain and melling high volume oil pump. Car has the correct Boss only flywheel and damper. Has a spec clutch and Ford orig style pilot bearing. Special lock nuts on the valves so no further adjustment on the mechanical cam is required. Body was stripped and so was the under carriage. The paint is a 2 stage on top and a single stage under the car as original. 71 Mustangs did not have red oxide primer like the earlier ones but were painted body color underneath. Trunk is spatter paint as original and is mostly original. All original perfect quarters and floor. When the interior was out the inside floors looked perfect blue. Inside of the doors are as new original. THIS IS A 1 OF 9 PRODUCTION MUSTANG BOSS AS INDICATED BY THE MARTI REPORT. NO DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED OR ALLOWED IF YOU WIN THE BID COME EXAMINE THE CAR AND AT THAT TIME PAY FOR IT OR WALK AWAY NO OBLIGATION TO BUY. I AM SURE YOU WILL PLEASED.
