Mileage: 18,578 The low production Mercury with an ASC McLaren conversion is #36 of 150 units produced. There are only a few cars remaining and it is doubtful that any survivors are "Like New" as this car is.

Very close inspection was performed on this vehicle during the appraisal process. This car is a true "Survivor" and has not been restored! A car can only be original once and this car is original including the paint. The vehicle was recently purchased from the original owner of 29 years. This vehicle has never seen rain or any type of inclement weather. It has always been covered, ampered and stored in a climate controlled environment. The average miles per year arc 64I. Actually, he actual miles were all accumulated while driving the car to special events and car shows.

This car remains in "New" condition. The condition grade is 1-.

Engine Compartment: The engine is an aspirated Ford 5.0liter (302) High Output small block V8. The carburetor is a Holly four-barrel. Creature comforts include: Factory air conditioning, ower steering, ower brakes, ruise control, djustable upper strut brackets, hrome master cylinder cover, inned aluminum valve covers. The air cleaner top has been chrome plated from ASC McLaren. The engine and engine compartment are clean, ainted and detailed to international show car standards.

Chassis: The chassis has the appearance of a new vehicle. Looking under the vehicle, he dual exhaust still looks new with many sections polished. The shocks appear to be new but could easily be the originals. The gas tank looks new also. The front suspension of this Fox-Body Mercury has independent suspension and rack & pinion steering. The front brakes are the disc type and the rear brakes are the drum type. The transmission is a five-speed manual. The rear differential is a Ford 8.8" with True-Trac. The wheels are special 15" cast aluminum alloy's that are exclusive to the ASC McLaren vehicles and are painted orange to match the exterior graphics. The tires on the vehicle are new replacement tires that are exactly like the tires released on this vehicle from Ford. B.F. Goodrich, Force radial black-walls.

Interior: The interior is original and remains in excellent condition. The upholstery is two-tone grey velour. The instrument panel has factory analog gauges including a tachometer. The radio is an AM-FM-Cassette with premium sound speakers from Sony. The car is equipped with power windows, ear defogger and security cargo cover/shade. The original embroidered floor mats have been covered by an auxiliary type mat since new. The instrument panel, elour upholstery, arpet and headliner remains is "As-New" condition. The appropriate ID badges are all still attached in their respective, riginal locations. The gear shift knob is leather wrapped and has been replaced with an aftermarket knob. The original shift knob is stored inside the glove box for safe keeping.

Exterior: The exterior is like new and still has the original flawless original paint and orange decal graphics. Al1 of the original ASC McLaren badging that identifies this vehicle as #36 of 150 units produced in 1985 remains. The headlights and taillights have special covers that protect the lighting and offer a race car concept all in one. The hood is special and has two louvers that fit flush with the outer surface. The rear spoiler is still like new. (Many plastic components deteriorated from the ultra violet rays of the sun.

Overall, his 29 year old vehicle is a one of a kind and remains in like-new condition. The 18,578 miles were driven so sparingly and under strict guidelines that not even one paint chip can be found.
