Description of 1977 Ford Bronco |
THIS IS THE COOLEST TRUCK ON THE ROAD!!! THIS A LONG HISTORY OFTHETRUCK SO YOU WILL UNDERSTAND EXACTLY ITS HISTORY- This truck was purchased in Arizona in the late 90's by a friend of mine that was the Chief Engineer on a Ship I was Captain on. He had an engine builtspecificallyfor the truck with a certain Cam, FR heads, troker, tc. He drove the truck for about 30,000 miles as an every day driver. I always loved it, o after a few drinks one night back in 2004, purchased the truck for $10,000. I redid the exterior, ainted it black, hino lined the interior, ut new seats in it, ook the doors off (I still have them in my attic), ot it looking really sharp. IbelieveI spent about $7000 cosmetically fixing the truck up. I bought he truck with a clean Florida Title. After I redid everything, went to the DMV to title the truck and they sent arebuilttitle in the mail. Since it had a clean title, called andcomplainedand they said that something must have come up in the records. I called my friend and he said the title was clean when he bought it, nd he gave me a clean title. To this day, don't know why the title changed to arebuiltone, nd no one has been able to explain it to me. I believe when the truck was transfer from Arizona DMV to Florida DMV, ome paperwork was missing and they titled i rebuiltalthoughit never was.Regardless, t drives great, erfectly straight you can let go of the wheel at 70 mph. Alittlewhile after that, had an engine issues. I had the engine pulled out an wanted to put in a crate 302 but was convinced that the engine was awesome and I needed to rebuild it. I ran it for a couple years but always had issues. I eventually puled the engine out, ook it back to Mustang Specialties in Pompano Beachbecausethey had rebuilt i before. They went through it and told me nothing was wrong. I ran it again for a few more years and it started smoking really badly in 2011. I didn't drive it for about a year. A mechanic in West Palm Beach the built highperformanceengines wassuggestedto me; Boyce Automotive. Again I said I wanted asimpleengine, and heexplainedhat last people that built the engine wereputtinghe wrong pistons, he engines great and we should rebuild it. He had it bored to a 347 Stroker, nd has been running great for a while I noticed a few months ago that it was smoking on thepassengersside exhaust. I am not sure what it is, ut Ron Boyce, r.High Performance engine builder himselfdoesn'tseem to want to help me with it. This is my last pre-marital asset, ut it istimeto let someone else mess with it. I put in a NEW TRANSMISSION about 6 months ago. I had a full roll cage built about 2 years ago so my kids would be safe. It has a 3'" body lift with 35" tires that are in great shape The rims are only a few years old as well. The entire body is original metal except I put on a fiberglass hood so the engine would have more clearance, nd there are door inserts. Ireallydon'twant to see it sold locallybecauseit will break my heart to see it driving around town. It might need a little work, t might need a new engine, ut at this point I have probably close to $40k in it over the past 12 years and I have had my fun. I need to eBay it off quickly before I change my mind. Everytime I drive i someone offers to buy it, ut I really want it to go far away... |
