Description of 1931 Ford Model A 1931 Model A Sedan

*The vintage toolbox, ooler, uicide knob, hift knoband Mom, nbsp;DO NOT go with the car. I will replace the shift knob with an original dark brown Ford shift knob.

Vin number on the firewall matches the vin on Title.

I have owned the 31 forabout8 -month, and 600 - 700 miles of driving. I purchased the car back in February ( trailered home ) from the Macon Georgia area. The car runs great, ngine, rans and rear end are solid and clutch is new. Leaves just enough for someone to put there own touch on it.

Now, eason for selling is that even though I wanted a more traditional Rod, t 55 and with a back and arm bolted together, t is just torough for me. I am buying a custom as soon as this sells.
The 31 was built by an older guy who has been around hot rods for 6 decades. This one believed to have originally been built in the late 50's - early 60's.

The following information is from the guy who built the 31 and who I purchased it from....

When the car was purchased, t already had the Y block engine, hich was set back 8 inches. Front seats are also set back. The frame appears to be original 1931. The Y Block is a 292, hichI havecompletely rebuilt, lso added the special Y block heads ( 57 G). These are fresh, eaturing a 3 angle valve grind. An Isky cam (E4) was installed, long with electronic ignition. Cooling is handled by a brand new aluminum radiator.

The exhaust consist of a set of vintage homemade headers with dual exhaust, lowing thru a pair of Raptor mufflers dumping out before the rear end. This set-up sounds great.
Power goes to a 1950 Ford F1 3 speed (floor shift), hru an open drive line to a Modern Ford 9" rear end. The rear is a 3.70 gear and has been fully restored. Rear has newer chrome coil overs. I personally think the coil overs need to be remounted straight or possible a shorter set?

The front end has a new Super Bell with a 4" drop. Split wishbone . New tube shocks were added in front along with new brakes from a 1940 Ford.
All glass, askets, uzzy`s along with window tracks are new. Windshield opens / closes properly. The top is new.

Tires are new, ronts 6.70 x 15, ears 8.20 x 15 all mounted on early Ford 5 X 5 1/2 bolt pattern. I recently found out the RR rim has a bit of a wobble, uyer will need tohave straightened or replacement recommended. New Ford half caps .

Headlights (32 Ford), aillights, rake lights, ash lights work like they should. New 32 style gas tank. No high beams, o horn, o heat, o emergency brake, o spare rim/tire. Turn signals handled by left arm.

The body is all Ford and is an honest car. Filler in the body is minimal based on magnet check. Front fenders have had metal repair from inside, here splits are typical. I am sure there is a bit of filler for dings / dents ect. Body looks straight.

The paint is a few years old and nice for a driver. The paint is much brighter /shiny than the photos reflect. It was gloomy, loudy day. Hood side panels are painted to match and come with the car. However, ue to the headers they don't fit / mount correctly.

Interior is basic. There is1/8 brown board covering most areas which would be good as templates or backing for upholstery.

Dash is a 1932 Ford instrument panel with Stewart Warner gas, il, emp, mp gauges. The Speedometer I believe to be 46 - 47 Ford. All function properly ( temp hangs up periodically ).
New wiper motor and arm (single) work, ut not very fast. Rearview mirror only.

The 2 bucket seats have been recovered and look good, owever they sat high so I removed the mounting brackets and they are now bolted directly to the floor. Plenty of leg room. No back seat. Floor is plywood withribbed rubber covering. Although there are seatbelts, hey are not mounted correctly. They have lg washers underside and top but material is just folded with hole for bolt. Fine for me, ut suggest buyer look into a new set of seatbelts.

I will end the auction early for an honest / reasonable offer.

Bidders with a feedback score of less than 10 must first contact me, efore bidding.

The 1931 is listed for sale at multiple locations, ue to this I reserve the right to end the auction early and without notice.

I have sold to both England and Finlandin the past, typically prefer to sell within the continental US. If the winning bidder is an over seas buyer,I will work with what ever shipping companyyou choose to use, ut coordinating all this as well as costwill be solely the responsibility of winningbidder. Overseas buyer must also meet payment guideline, ick up I will work with you but am not interested in storing this car so 14 day pick up for overseas buyer.
