1966 Ford Fairlaine 500XLWimbeldon White with Aqua interior originaly a 390 2v 275 factory air conditioned power steering car with 3.00 open 9 inch rear. The 390has now been upgraded with a Fomoco/Ford 428 aluminum police interceptor manifold andHolley carburetor,Petronix electronic distributor internals with Morroso plug wires a Hi Po air cleaner and vintage polished aluminum tall style valve covers.The C6 auto has a B&M converter with shift kit.Brand new Richmond Gear 3.50 ring and pinion with new carrier,bearings and seals as well as a new True Trac posi unit.Installed 9/18/15 installed and set up by Pyle Brothers here in Houston.Very smooth and quiet rear end.Airconditioning system completely upgraded and rebuilt to include new Superflowcondenser,rotary compressor,txv valve,all new hoses,and discharge drier.Works way better than the original system.This was done and completed on 9/26/15, ll work will come with receipts.
The 390 V8 is very strong,well balanced and smooth with gobs of torque! The c6 shifts firmly and very well.The power steering works amazingly well and the front end seems very tight for a car of this age.Brakes although drum stop this car well.Over all the driving experience is very good in my opinion,The paint although done several yeaars ago still has plenty of shine showing minor flaws.I would describe it as nice driver quality.Not concours by any means but the overall appearance is certainly good enough to be proud of at local car shows and cruise nights.The chrome and aluminum bright work and trim also nice.The underside of this car is as nice as the topside as well.A nice aluminumized dual exhaust with crossover and flow master mufflers gives a very nice soundtrack.The car will come with a three ring binder with tons of documentation dating back to 1985.This is a nice Fairlaine that has been well loved and cared for by previous owners.I would love it if you could come see her in person are send some one in your behalf to see and inspect her.
