Description of 1965 Ford Mustang

This car is ready for you to be it's new proud owner. A great chance to be part of the Blue Oval lifestyle in a really nice pony. A Dearborn "A" Code car, believe it has spent most of its life on the West Coast and has less than 13,000 miles on it since a complete restore about 15 years ago. It has been garage kept and rarely seen rain. Gently used, ever raced it has grabbed many a local trophy and is always a crowd favorite. Been featured in a magazine (Street Thunder) and in a video production feature on Mustangs. The worst part about owning this car will be every where you go, aving to listen to everyone tell you about the Mustang their aunt or some other relative bought new.... I would call this car a good #2 based on Hagerty's vehicle condition guide (except it seems the guide is based on stock style cars) : #2 cars could win a local or regional show. They can be former #1 cars that have been driven or have aged. Seasoned observers will have to look closely for flaws, ut will be able to find some not seen by the general public. The paint, hrome, lass and interior will all appear as excellent. No excessive smoke will be seen on startup, o unusual noises will emanate from the engine compartment. The vehicle will drive as a new car of its era would. The one word description for #2 cars is "excellent".Some details:Per vin # decode Year 65assembled in DearbornHardtop289 4VThe data plate is not thereI am at least the 3rd ownerInterior is Black and has all been replaced:

  • I have enjoyed this car for many years. It has been one of the most dependable vehicles I have ever owned. It drives, ounds and rides great. It is mostly 1965 technology and no power steering or brakes,so if you haven't spent much time behind the wheel of that era you may or may not like it. We are all so used to our Toyotas now a days! The only known issues
    • I disconnected the heater hoses a couple years ago to put new braided lines on and never finished it. The new parts come with the car and if you plan to drive it in the winter it will need to be done.
    • Speedometer has a tick that I haven't had time to look into.
    • It has Radial TA's and the right rear came delaminated last summer when coming home from a show 100 miles away. Replaced tire with a used one while on the road.
    • Left turn signal does not self cancel

I am not interested in making a deal or trading for anything (different car, uns). Please don't contact me with an offer to consign or sell the car for me... I will make time to show you the car and will allow a test drive (on a dry day) after I have verified your WDL and insurance. I prefer to sell it locally but shipping it is not out of the question. I will accept cash (will need to verify bills are legitimate) or Paypal (will add % to agreed sales price). Sorry I can't "hold" the car, nd will not accept anything but full agreed upon sales price at the time of the transaction. Title is clear. Go ahead and send me an email and we can go from there. Thanks in advance for your time...see you soon
