Description of 1966 Ford Mustang |
We are finally letting our Stang go. She's been great! But time to get a new home... Totally redone about 12 years ago. We have owned her about 16 years and the owner before us had her 15 years or so. We have tried to keep heroriginal, sing Ford parts when possible. What's not original:We added a hang on A/C - it is a repro, ut you can swap out condenser and compressor with Ford if that is important to you - We wanted cold air and reliability.Added front disc brakes....for safety.Radio is an aftermarket am/fm/cass designed for the Mustang (I think I have the original am, ut would have to find it.) Here's the lowdown....the good and not so good (no ugly).... There are some little nit-piks, ut things a handy person can deal with: Need to swap out bushing on R/Rear 1/4 window - doesn't roll up/down (it can be moved into either spot - easy fix)Plastic knobs missing on A/C - what can I say - they were plastic - need to find something better.Small hole in drivers seat - about 1/4"Driver's windowregulatorcatches a little - (rolls up and down but probably could be fixed with new regulator)May need to rewire the horn - (not sure - did this awhile ago, nd all lights and horn was working fine when we had inspected a few months back, ut seems to be on the Fritz - not sure the guy that changed it out did it right - fairly cheap fix and you can do it yourself - check Youtube...)If you wanted to show it; engine compartment should be spruced up All of these things can be fixed by the new owner.... Good stuff.... Mileage is original - about 135kInspected through 10/16Runs strongTrans finePut Rebuilt Carb on last yearPertronix electronic ignitionGood tiresCHEAP insurance - We pay 150/year through Hagerty'sSuspension was totally redone some time ago (so no need to do now) Minor Body issues - see pics Somebody backed into F/L fender so there is a dent needs tending to.Wife (before the brakes were changed to disc) didn't stop in time and bumped into truck in front of her (Hood dent center; valance on bottom a little dented)I believe these can be fixed reasonably, ut as opposed to the stuff above, ot something I'd take on myself. This is going to be a great car for someone - she needs a home - and you (or someone close to you) needs a Stang! I'll do my best to answer questions. Fine Print: I have done my best to give you the skinny, ut I'm sure I missed something. Car sold as is/where is. I do not want to sell this multiple times, o winner will be required to make a Deposit of $1000 within 24 hours - which will be non-refundable - but will deemed the agreed fair cost of lost sale, aking off market and remarketing. Absent prior agreement, ll funds will be due with 7 days of sale. Good luck to all bidders - I hope someone will buy this who will treat her like the lady she is! |
