Description of 1964 Ford F-250

What you're looking at is a family owned 64' Ford F250. My grandfather purchased it brand new in 1964 (I have the original paperwork) and he owned it until about a year ago when I bought it from him. That's right, his 51-year-old truck has had only two owners. I've been working on the truck for a while now and it's great. I have the title and it's currently insured/registered. And in case you're wondering, hose are original miles. This truck has fewer miles than my daily driver.Mechanical:It runs and drives great. It has the original 292 engine, nd it's a manual four-on-the-floor. It doesn't have the most horsepower and the gears are pretty low so it isn't the fastest truck but it's got the torque to spin some tires. It is rear wheel drive, ut I have yet to have any problems in rain, irt, r steep inclines. Mechanically it's sound and nearly original. The only things I have changed is the oil bath air filter (which I still have) for a paper filter, nd I took off the original muffler and put on a glass pack. It sounds good, ut I didn't weld it or anything so it's just clamped. It doesn't have power steering or power brakes. I've rebuilt the brake hardware and they work great.Exterior:The body is in good shape. There is some surface rust on the hood and top of the cab. The worst rust is on the bottom of the cab right next to the bed, nd the top of the cab on the sides (there are holes there). The paint is obviously faded and there are definitely some dings and scratches. As you can see, took a few liberties on the tailgate of the truck. The bumper wasn't the prettiest so I fabricated my own (not very original but it works). There was a rectangle of the rust on the tailgate so I riveted a bent piece of metal on, nd I also painted the letters "FORD." There are new wheels and tires on it, ut I do have the original wheels (6 actually), ires, nd hubcaps for it. But the wheels are split-rim and aren't commonly worked on nowadays.Interior:The original seat does have some tears and is a bit faded (hence the seat cover), ut I'm sure it could be repaired. All of the gauges, eating, ights, M radio, tc. work. However, was unsure of how to fix the horn which doesn't work so I wired my own in. It actually looks pretty original if you ask me (a little silver button next to the knobs). The original carpet is still in there and it's not the best looking, ut I haven't gotten around to taking it out.Overall it's a good truck. I have a drawer full of receipts and some of the original documentation, ncluding the original receipt. Go ahead and text me with whatever questions you may have, 've no doubt left something out. I also have a ton more pictures throughout all the work I've done on it. I'm willing to negotiate price, ut I'm not in a rush to sell it so I won't sell for the wrong price.UPDATE:I've started priming the top half of the truck to get rid of the surface rust (I'm planning on making it two-tone). I currently have just the hood primed.
