Description of 1994 Ford Taurus

For Sale- My 1994 Ford Taurus SHO, speed manual 4 door sports car. Vehicle passed smog last year, nd the registration is clear through Sept. 2016. I have had this car for the last 10 years as my daily driver, nd it's time to move on to something a bit newer. It has been the best car I have ever owned, nd it has never let me down. Here is the list of recently replaced or updated parts (within the last 18 months).
- clutch assembly (sachs)
- 4 tires (Pirelli, tock size)
- 4 wheel brakes (drill/slot rotors with Hawk HPS pads)
- LR Parking brake cable
- Steering Rack (installed Non-VAPS model for tighter steering ratio)
- Fuel Injectors
- Valve cover gaskets and spark plug tube seals
- Spark plugs and wires
- Intake Manifold Gaskets
- Lower control arms and ball joints
- Outer tie rod ends
- Front and Rear sway bar end links
- Timing Belt (including tensioner pulley)
- Fuel Pump (Walbro 155 model)
- Heli-coil installed on rod shifter (to restore proper shifter "tightness")
- A/C system Schrader valves (original were leaking, ow has ice cold A/C)
This vehicle consumes no oil (unless you drive it very hard) and has no leaks, changed the oil every 3000 miles with Motorcraft 10w-40 synthetic blend and a Motorcraft FL-1A filter (adds nearly a quart to the capacity).
The vehicle was purchased and driven in NC for most of its life with a recent move to CA. The car is rust free.
Other goodies- HeatShield windshield reflector (custom fit for the windshield, een in photos) tinted windows, lowmaster style mufflers that have a nice mellow sound, ord Racing shift knob, -Pillar gauges (voltmeter, acuum gauge, nd oil pressure (the oil pressure is electric and does not read, never installed the sending unit), Magnaflow high flow Y-pipe, luminium subframe bushings, lpine head unit and JL tweeters added, re-wired for subwoofer system (30 A), HO Shop style CAI installed, lso comes with OEM air box, ncludes service manual and some additional parts such as a C&L 73mm MAF sensor, xle seals, he resonator pipe (explained below), ngine oil seals ETC.
The not so great- It is a 21 year old car with over 250K on it, ome wear and tear is expected. It shows some age, ut looks great for the year and mileage. The only things that are inoperative are the wipers (the switch is bad, ut it still works to run the windshield cleaner system) and the air bag system (the spiral cable has a short, nd I ended up disconnecting the airbag ECU to shut off the light- it flashes the code the entire time the vehicle is running and drives one crazy). There is also a rattle in the exhaust resonator that is RPM dependent, and that's why it comes with the pipe to fix it- it just needs to be welded in. The seats are a bit rough, ut that is a very common issue with these cars (or any other car this old I would expect.) The interior is not perfect, ut with some TLC it can look like new again.
These older SHO's are a lot of fun and can still surprise some people. I will accept payment through PayPal only, nd it must be paid in full within 7 days of purchase.
