Description of 1965 Ford Fairlane |
This is a 1965 Ford Fairlane 500 2 Door Hardtop. It has been in my family since new, aking it a single family California Car. It has spent its entire life in California, nd was garaged for approximately 20 years during this time. It was originally purchased by my great-grandfather. I have owned the car since 1999, nd have modified it tastefully since then. It currently has only 117,940 original miles, hich is pretty amazing for a 50 year old car. The engine was rebuilt in 2009. While the car is not in flawless condition, t gets compliments everywhere it goes. When people throw around the term "easy restoration", his is the kind of car that is meant when people say that. I actually do not wish to sell this car and would much prefer to keep it, owever financial concerns have forced me to consider selling it. Another thing that makes this car unique is that I have nearly 99% of all the paperwork from the day it was sold until today, ven including the original bill of sale. In addition to having nearly every receipt from the 1960s until now, have also saved all of the parts-related paperwork from all of the tasteful modifications that have been made to the car, o that the next owner will have everything they need to know exactly what is onthe car right down to the exact part numbers, nd in most cases exactly when it was installed and how/by what shop. If the new owner wishes, nd at noadditional charge over the winning bid (assuming it meets my reserve price), will include any and all original parts as well as NOS/good OEM parts that I have collected over the past 15 years. For example, f you wish I will include almost all the parts needed to make the car original again, ncluding the original 2bbl intake manifold/2bblAutolite carburetor/original air cleaner/original camshaft/original wheels, tc, tc. As far as the NOS/good OEM parts that you could have if you wish, ould be things like NOS tail lamp lens, OS fender extension, OS headlight bezel, tc, tc. Also good OEM parts like a spare grill. I was a member of the Fairlane Club of America for over 10 years, nd this car was featured in a few tech articles during that time. My favorite was an article detailing the installation of the ceramic coated full length headers. You are welcome to takepossession of my Fairlane club magazines as well, f you wish (they have great tech articles). Here is a break down of many of the added performance features to the car.
