Rare Brunn & Co. 1938 Ford Convertible Sedan Deluxe. 85 HP 221 V8 Fenton Headers. Hydraulic Brakes. Electric Fuel Pump. Very Nice Ford Rare Convertible Sedan Deluxe. This vehicle left the factory in 1938 and went directly to the shops of Brunn & Company in Buffalo. New York. There it underwent “special detailing”. Landau Irons were added. the top mechanism was modified to operate with the landau irons. a spotlight and custom door handles were added. This is believed to be the only 1938 Ford that went through Brunn. as Brunn typically only performed work on Lincolns. Packards and the occasional Duesenberg. This beautiful car has an older complete frame off restoration. This vehicle won the prestigious Dearborn Award as well as multiple other awards every time it was shown and was featured on the cover of the National Early Ford V8 Club’s magazine. the V8 Times. Never a garage queen. this car has seen 6700 miles of driving since restoration including extended trips to Early Ford V8 Club National Meets. So it does have a few minor rock chips and some minor wear expected of a vehicle that is loved and driven. That being said it still looks great from the top or the bottom. This car has never overheated due to the modified water pumps. With the dual exhaust and Fenton Headers. this vehicle really purrs. The spider hub caps look great rolling down the road. The fuel tank has been replaced with an aftermarket piece. Safety has been addressed with the addition of hydraulic brakes. making this vehicle a pleasure drive. Vehicle valued at High retail of 69. 00! All records on the vehicle dating back to it being discovered in 1969.
